For those who may be new to our organization, the Moving Forward McCormick Coalition (MFMC) is a community coalition dedicated to improving the health and well-being of McCormick County residents. Our work is centered around Healthy Eating and Active Living, and we collaborate with local organizations, agencies, businesses, and community members to address county needs in these focus areas.

Our mission is to provide access to resources, programs, and opportunities that support healthier lifestyles for individuals and families throughout McCormick County. By working together, we strive to improve the overall quality of life for our residents and create a healthier, stronger community for everyone.

Join us on May 26th from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at the McCormick Middle School Cafeteria for an important Community Listening Session!

This is your opportunity to share your voice, experiences, and ideas about what our community needs to become healthier and stronger. We want to hear directly from residents about challenges and solutions related to health, access to resources, youth and family support, and overall community well-being.

Your input matters because the feedback shared during this session will help guide future programs, partnerships, and resources right here in our community. This is how we make sure community needs are truly being heard and addressed.

Hello everyone! My name is Peyton Nance, and I am the Coalition Coordinator for the Moving Forward McCormick Coalition (MFMC).

I am a proud native of McCormick, SC, and a 2021 graduate of McCormick High School. I am also a 2025 graduate of South Carolina State University, where I studied Physical Education with a minor in Physical Activity Management. Through my time in undergrad, I developed a strong passion for service, community engagement, and advocacy within underserved communities.

I’m passionate about working alongside partners to improve access to healthy eating and active lifestyles. I look forward to connecting with each of you, learning more about the needs of our community, and collaborating on initiatives that make a lasting impact.
