Class of 89…. Our Own
URGENT: HELP AND PRAYERS NEEDED
Dear Friends and family,
I am reaching out with a heavy, but hopeful heart on behalf of the Washington and Watson families. Our sister, daughter, mother, aunt, Coretta Washington has been missing since Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2024. The last time we saw and spoke with her was Tuesday evening, Dec. 3 around 9:00 pm when she stopped by the house to pick up a package from me to take to mom. The last time mom and dad saw and spoke with her was when she arrived home back at the house that evening. The next morning, mom and dad heard her leave out of the house around 7:30 am. And they haven’t seen or heard from her since. We are quite concerned because she has a medical condition and needs to take medication on a daily basis. We don’t know if she has her medication with her.
Early Thursday morning at around 2:00 am, The Maywood Police Dept. came to mom and dad’s home to ask if Coretta was there. They informed them that they had been notified by the Chicago Police Dept. that Coretta’s car had been found abandoned, in the middle of the street near 2019 West Leland on the north side. However, she was not with the car. And of course, they would have to wait 24 hours to file a missing persons’ report. Meanwhile, Chicago had the car towed to the city pound. After an inquiry from a family friend/CPD officer, mom, and dad Called Maywood PD back around 3:00 am on 12/3/24 to move forward to file a missing persons’ report due to her having a medical condition. As of yesterday, Mon., Dec. 9, Maywood PD had assigned a detective to the case.
If anyone sees Coretta, or has any information, please call Detective Patrick Reilly at 708-250-6452 immediately; and please contact mom and dad, ASAP. We ask that you please share this post on social media. We are grateful for any support, information, and help that you may be able to provide, and we appreciate your kindness, prayers, and understanding. Thank you. Peace and blessings. Salina
