THE CORPORATION SHALL HAVE THE PURPOSE OF:

[A]. TO UPOLD AND DEFEND THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA AND TO THE STATE OF NEW YORK.

[B]. TO BE NON-POLITICAL AND NON-SECTARIAN, AS TO RACE, COLOR OR NATIONAL ORIGIN.

[C]. TO PROMOTE A BETTER UNDERSTANDING BY THE PUBLIC AND OUR FELLOW F

IREMEN OF OUR DUTIES AND OBLIGATIONS TO THE FIRE SERVICE.

[D]. TO ASSIST IN THE TRAINING OF ALL FIREMEN, WILLING TO PARTICIPATE, IN THE DUTIES AND OBLIGATIONS OF A FIRE POLICEMAN.

[E]. TO PROMOTE THE EXCHANGE OF INFORMATION AMONG THE FIRE POLICEMEN OF INFORMATON AND EXPERIENCES THAT WILL ASSIST THE OTHER FIRE POLICE IN THE PERFORMANCE OF THEIR DUTIES AND OBLIGATIONS.

[F]. THE MOTTO OF OUR CORPORATION SHALL BE: "THE EYES AND EARS OF THE FIRE SERVICE."

On August 28, 2108 the fire police response team assisted directing traffic and closing roads at Route 60 and Shumla Roads in the Town of Pomfret due to downed power lines. Callout time: 08:33am

On August 30, 2018 the fire police response team assisted directing traffic and closing roads at a large diesel fuel spill at 3067 Fluvanna Avenue in the Town of Ellicott. Callout time: 10:36am.

We are quite excited to be receiving our new TC response team trucks (see picture above) within a week or so. A HUGE thank you to Senator Cathy Young for getting the funding for these trucks. Her dedication to the fire service is outstanding.
