Schedule of Events for the 2025 Small Town America Festival
Presented by Whitaker Bank-Saturday, August 9th:

-7am-Noon- Farmers Market is open at the Market Pavilion located at the end of S. Maysville in Downtown. Shop from local farmers for fresh produce, flowers, jams and more!

-8am- The Parks and Recreation 5K will be held at Silver Creek/Old Silo. Registration begins at 7am. 5K begins at 8am. Awards for the top 3 finishers in each age group. $20 registration fee at www.msmcparks.com or the pool office- 3486 Indian Mound Drive.

-8am- The 9th Annual Paint the Small Town event registration is at www.grackentucky.org with a reception and Awards Ceremony from 5:30-7pm at the Gateway Regional Arts Center. The “En Plein Air” artwork created during the day will be available for purchase.

-9am-1pm- Mt. Sterling Lion’s Club Car Show behind the Downtown Athletic Club on Main Street. Cruise-in day of registration is $15 with Dash Plaques to first 50, DJ, food for purchase and door prizes.

-10am-4pm- 50+ Arts, Crafts and Food Vendors will be set up on the bricked streets and the Sterling Health Fair and Kids Zone at the Courthouse Square.

-10am-12:30pm- Learn local history with Authors Kevin Tudor at 10am and Charles Bishop at 11:45am at the Storytelling Stage located under the Traditional Bank Drive-thru. Hosted by local musician and poet, Anna Kline, who will perform at 11am.

-10am-4pm- Visit the Montgomery County History Museum by the Courthouse and the Gateway Regional Arts Center at 101 E. Main Street. Free admission.

-10am-4pm- Shop and Dine with the local downtown merchants and see the new murals!

-Noon- The 18th Annual Gateway Children’s Services Co****le Tournament behind Whitaker Bank. $35 per team with great payouts! Pre-register at www.gatewaychildrensservices.org

-Noon-6pm- Free Back to School Haircuts at The Hair Company!

-1pm- Bring a chair for the Rumpke Talent Show on the Court House lawn. Top 5 finalists will perform. $500 cash prize for the winner and appearances at upcoming events. 75 Spit will be playing great music all day!

The festival's Storytelling Stage Author- Charles Bishop will be on ABC36 in Lexington live at Noon today! Charles Bishop II, along with Author Kevin Tudor will be featured at this Saturday's festival under the Traditional Bank Drive-thru in the Courthouse Square beginning at 10am. The area will be hosted by musician and poet Anna Kline who will be performing at 11am!

Get ready to "Cruise In" to the Mt. Sterling Lion's Club Car Show this Saturday 9am-1pm in the City Lot behind the Downtown Athletic Club on Locust Street! Have fun and help this local organization!
