ICARE Union County would like to extend a heartfelt **THANK YOU** to everyone who helped make the Union County Overdose Awareness Event a meaningful evening of remembrance, hope, and connection.

To our speakers, community partners, vendors, volunteers, local leaders, first responders, families, and every person who came out to stand with us — **thank you.**

Overdose Awareness is about more than one event. It is about remembering the lives we have lost, supporting the families who carry their memory, reducing stigma, and reminding those who are still struggling that **help, hope, and recovery are possible.**

We are especially grateful for the organizations and individuals throughout Union County who continue to work together to prevent overdose, provide resources, support recovery, and strengthen our community.

🚨 Kratom is now illegal in Tennessee.

As of July 1, 2026, the possession and sale of kratom are illegal in the state of Tennessee under Public Chapter No. 950.

It is important for our community to be aware of this change and understand that suddenly stopping kratom use may lead to withdrawal symptoms. If you or someone you love needs support with detox or withdrawal, resources are available.

As we prepare for our upcoming Overdose Awareness event, we are reminded of why this work is so important. 💜

Overdose and substance use have touched far too many individuals and families in our community. Behind every life affected is a story—one of struggle, loss, hope, healing, recovery, and resilience.

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you for the generous donation of staff shirts to support ICARE and our Overdose Awareness efforts. This act of kindness is a meaningful reminder that when a community comes together, we can support one another, honor those we have lost, celebrate those in recovery, and continue working to prevent future tragedies.

Our upcoming Overdose Awareness event is a time to remember, to raise awareness, to offer hope, and to remind our community that recovery is possible and no one has to face these challenges alone.
