The Traveling Lion has landed in Wingo!

The Traveling Lion is a reminder for clubs to visit each other! We make new friends, see different perspectives, and spark creativity when we visit.

As individuals, these things stand true as well. When we spend time with new people, new ideas come to mind and new relationships start. Your Wingo Lions are all about building community❣️💙🦁

We look forward to meeting so many of you in the future!

What an incredible evening celebrating another successful year of service at the Mayfield Lions Club Annual Banquet!

This year, our members contributed nearly 5,000 volunteer hours and donated more than $29,000 back into our community. Together, we supported local fire victims, fire and rescue departments, JROTC programs, holiday meals, car repair assistance, tornado recovery efforts, and so much more.

We proudly provided an adaptive bicycle and 17 perfect attendance bicycles to local students, continued countless service projects throughout the year, and added a new Vision Camera to better fulfill our mission as Knights of the Blind.

During the evening, we welcomed five new members into our Lions family and swore in our incoming officers for the coming year. We were honored to have Region Chair David Madison and Lion Vicki Madison join us as special guests and help celebrate the accomplishments of our club.

Congratulations to Harold Spitzner, our Lion of the Year, whose dedication, service, unwavering support of club events, and legendary raffle ticket sales exemplify what it means to be a Lion.

Thank you to all of our members, families, supporters, and community partners who make our work possible. We are proud of what we accomplished together and look forward to another year of service, fellowship, and making a difference in our community.

We Serve. 🦁💙💛

Absolutely shameful.

Someone has vandalized and destroyed the memorial bench at Kess Creek Park dedicated in memory of Jessie Cook, a tornado victim— a place meant for remembrance, peace, and honoring a life that was lost far too soon.

This bench wasn’t just a bench. It was a symbol of love, memory, and healing for family, friends, and everyone in our community who has felt the pain of that tragedy.

To damage something so meaningful is heartbreaking and disrespectful beyond words. Whoever did this should be ashamed. Memorials exist to honor lives and give loved ones a place to reflect — not to be torn apart for someone’s amusement.

The Mayfield Lions Club will be working to repair the bench because that’s what this community does — we take care of our own, and we honor our loved ones.

If anyone has information about who did this or saw anything suspicious at Kess Creek Park, please say something. Help hold the people responsible accountable.

Thank you to everyone who came out to support Mayfield Lions and Camp Rendezvous today! We may not have had a ballgame but we still hit a home run today! And a special thanks to Pete Jackson for frying up some amazing fish!
