Tonight, we celebrate a very special part of The Hope Initiative family, Lilly Cox! 🎓✨

Lilly has spent her entire senior year interning with The Hope Initiative under the leadership of our Central Administrator, Allison, and what a joy it has been to watch her grow and excel this year.

From balancing school, athletics, a part-time job, scholarships, church youth, and her internship responsibilities, Lilly has carried herself with grace, determination, and a bright spirit that always filled the room with life and light. No matter what the day held, she always walked in with a huge smile and an eagerness to learn and serve.

As an honor student accepted into the University of Kentucky, we know this is only the beginning of the incredible things ahead for her. Lilly was also part of the very first year of our internship program, and she truly set the bar high.

Tonight, we celebrate not just her accomplishments, but the beautiful young woman she is becoming. We are so proud of you, Lilly, and grateful you became part of our family.

Congratulations, Lilly! We cannot wait to see all God has in store for your future. ❤️🖤

**Partner Spotlight Week**

This week, we’re highlighting the partners who helped make it possible.

Families receiving new homes in Douglas, GA were welcomed into fully furnished homes through the House in a Box program, made possible by the Society of St. Vincent de Paul and partners across the country.

Through essential furnishings and household items, they helped transform these houses into places families could truly call home.

What started through partnerships in Mayfield continued into Georgia through local, regional, and national support working together.

In the final days before the dedication, volunteers, community leaders, and partners came together to help prepare each home for move-in day.

Sauder Manufacturing from Ohio also helped furnish bedrooms for the Coweta family home, personally delivering and setting up furniture just days before the dedication.

One of the most meaningful things to witness was seeing partners not only help provide for families, but stand beside them during the dedication and welcome them home.

Each part mattered.

What started as empty foundations
became homes filled with care, community, and new beginnings.

**Partner Spotlight Week**

This week, we’re highlighting the partners who helped make it possible.

One of the most powerful things to witness in Douglas, GA was what happened when an entire community came together.

City leaders.
Faith communities.
Local businesses.
Recovery partners.

Everyone brought something to the table.

Hope for Coffee helped lead long-term recovery efforts and care for families and volunteers along the journey.

The City of Douglas helped navigate countless needs throughout the project.

Churches stepped in to serve meals, give rides, and support volunteers.

Local partners like Pilgrims, Lott Builders, and State Wide Engineering helped keep the work moving forward every step of the way.

Each part mattered.

When people work together with a shared purpose, recovery reaches further.

**Partner Spotlight Week**

This week, we’re highlighting the partners who helped make it possible.

Northern Ohio Assisting Hands (NOAH) brought Amish volunteer teams from Northern Ohio to serve in Douglas, GA.

Week after week, they showed up ready to work.

Through volunteer labor and strong partnerships, recovery efforts were able to reach more families.

The Hope Center became more than volunteer housing. It became a place where volunteers and families shared meals, sang hymns, prayed together, and built lasting relationships.

One of the most powerful things to witness was the encouragement shared between families and volunteers along the journey.

**Partner Spotlight Week**

This week, we’re highlighting the partners who helped make it possible.

Through Mennonite Disaster Service (MDS), the work was equipped to move forward.

MDS provided:
• Building plans
• Equipment on site
• Leadership and construction oversight

With what was needed in place, the work could begin and continue without delay.

Each part mattered.

The right tools.
The right structure.
At the right time.

Thank God for fruitfulness.

What was needed was there;
and the work moved forward.

**Partner Spotlight Week**

This week, we’re highlighting the partners who helped make it possible.

Through the kind generosity of The American Red Cross, support came at key moments in the recovery of Douglas, GA.

Two areas made a lasting impact:

• Capacity Grant: strengthened local leadership through Hope for Coffee and supported the Hope Center for volunteer housing
• Repair Grant: helped restore homes, including 133 roof repairs for vulnerable families and support for new home construction

Working together across case management and volunteer efforts, we were able to reach 142 families impacted by Hurricane Helene.

**Partner Spotlight Week**

This week, we’re highlighting the partners who helped make it possible.

It started with a call:

“Can you help us?”

After walking together through recovery in Mayfield, Pilgrim’s reached out once again. They had a heart to rebuild with a $1 million gift they wanted us to use to help families pay it forward as we partnered together in the long term recovery of Douglas, GA.

In a community that wasn’t getting as much attention as others impacted by Hurricane Helene, that call mattered.

That yes brought people together:
city leaders, the faith community, and partners ready to serve.

From that moment:
• Conversations began
• A Long Term Recovery Team took shape
• A path forward was created

What started as a call became a foundation for everything that followed.
