🎒Matoaka Outreach is hosting their annual back to school bash!🚸

✏️There will be school supplies, snacks, cotton candy, snow cones, inflatable water slides and more!

💦Bring your towel and join us from 11am - 4pm, or while supplies last.

With the help of Matoaka Fire Department, these will be installed in the next few days.

🌟 Exciting News for Matoaka! 🌟

Community Connections, Inc. has donated solar lighting that will soon be installed throughout the town of Matoaka! 🌞💡

In partnership with the Matoaka Parks & Recreation Committee and Matoaka Outreach (a subcommittee of the Mercer County Coalition for Healthy Communities), and Matoaka Volunteer Fire Department this project will help create safe, welcoming spaces for our youth and all residents to enjoy. 💚

These lights will brighten key areas of the town, encouraging outdoor activity, connection, and safety. A big THANK YOU to everyone who helped make this happen!!

You may have heard that horseshoe pits were a planned Parks and Rec project. GUESS WHAT?! We didnt have to wait to plan it or raise money for the supplies. Last night after our Butterfly Garden planning, Matoaka's residents came together and completed one of the pits and it's ready for players to come down and play!!! There were teenagers, firefighters from Matoaka Fire Department, local business owners and many others who showed up, did the work and donated supplies. Thank you to everyone!!!

Matoaka's Butterfly Garden got off to a fantastic start with today's planning get-together! The younger residents submitted their proposed plans. We shared some snacks and talked about which flowers will grow best in our growing zone.
