🐾 Kitten season is here and that means thousands of tiny lives need help. Every spring and summer, shelters and rescues become overwhelmed with abandoned, orphaned, and vulnerable kittens. Some are only days old and require round-the-clock care, warmth, bottle feeding, and love. 🍼✨

If you find kittens outside, please remember: 🐱 Mom may still be nearby hunting for food
🐱 Neonatal kittens cannot regulate body temperature
🐱 Cow’s milk can make kittens sick
🐱 Keep them warm before feeding
🐱 Contact a local rescue if they appear injured, cold, or abandoned

Ways you can help during kitten season: 🩷 Foster a litter
🩷 Donate kitten formula, blankets, or supplies
🩷 Spay and neuter pets
🩷 Share rescue posts to help kittens find homes
🩷 Educate others about caring for orphaned kittens

Summerlynn is fully booked and fully *rizzed* for her spa day at Starlight Acres 🐴🌸

Our girl said self-care isn’t selfish — it’s essential. Brushes, braids, hoof gloss, the whole main-character treatment. She stood there soaking up every second like the queen she is, soft breeze in her mane and sunshine on her back.

At Starlight Acres, healing looks like this — slow mornings, gentle hands, and animals learning that love is safe again. 💖

Summerlynn understood the assignment: glow up, graze, repeat.

✨🐾 **Starlight Acres Animal Rescue Update** 🐾✨

Today we were called out about a *very pregnant* mama cat spotted in the Food Lion parking lot. Of course, we didn’t hesitate we loaded up an outdoor tote, fresh hay, and food and rushed right over. 💛

When we arrived, we prepared for babies… but guess what?

Plot twist! 😂

Our “pregnant female” turned out to be a **very fluffy, very chunky, very sweet male cat** who had simply mastered the art of looking round and majestic.

The best part? He’s safe. He’s fed. He’s warm. And he was clearly very happy to see the food delivery.

This is what rescue looks like showing up, even when the story isn’t exactly what we expected. Every call matters. Every life matters.

Thank you to the kind soul who cared enough to reach out. Because of you, one sweet boy got a full belly and a safe setup tonight. 💫

We’ll continue keeping an eye on him and making sure he’s cared for.
