It does not have to be a this activity or that activity choice.

We have scouts that play on travel and high school sports teams (basketball, cross country, fencing, football, sailing, soccer, track, wrestling, and more) as well as participate in school drama clubs, drill teams, and more.

Just like he says in the video - one of the skills that scouting teaches is time management. Don't let other activities keep you from scouting, we can talk with you and help you work it out.

Scouts from Troop 66 presented the colors at the 25th Anniversary 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony on Friday night.

The Troop has appreciated the honor of participating in this ceremony for the last several years both as a service to the community but as a way to recognize and remember the Troop's connection to the events of that day.

Troop 66 Matawan will be at the Matawan Avenue Middle School Back to School night on September 8th. This is a great opportunity to get additional information as well as talk to some scouts.

Scouts provides the opportunity to learn teamwork, leadership skills, cooking skills (including meal planning, cooking, and cleaning up afterwards), first aid skills, and more. Troop 66 is also very involved in community activities including environmental clean ups and more.

Troop 66 Life Scout Tyler B was recognized by the Matawan Aberdeen Regional School District at the school board meeting tonight for his Eagle project to build a running trail at the high school.

As a small business, we are always proud to support the community. Matawan XC runner Tyler from Scout Troop 66 did an awesome job building a running path behind the Matawan HS track for his Eagle Scout project. We were happy to donate the pizza for all the volunteers. Great job Tyler and all the volunteers for the work they did on the project this weekend!

When scouts pursue the rank of Eagle Scout, they are required to do a project that provides benefit to the community. One of our scouts recently installed two additional vegetable beds at Temple Shalom. Our scouts have installed beds at this Temple as well as at Temple Beth Ahm. The vegetables at both Temples are provided to community members in need through local food pantries.

For the Eagle candidate, it is a chance to develop and plan a project from start to finish as well as provide leadership to those who come out to work on the project.
