Troop 66 Life Scout Tyler B was recognized by the Matawan Aberdeen Regional School District at the school board meeting tonight for his Eagle project to build a running trail at the high school.

As a small business, we are always proud to support the community. Matawan XC runner Tyler from Scout Troop 66 did an awesome job building a running path behind the Matawan HS track for his Eagle Scout project. We were happy to donate the pizza for all the volunteers. Great job Tyler and all the volunteers for the work they did on the project this weekend!

When scouts pursue the rank of Eagle Scout, they are required to do a project that provides benefit to the community. One of our scouts recently installed two additional vegetable beds at Temple Shalom. Our scouts have installed beds at this Temple as well as at Temple Beth Ahm. The vegetables at both Temples are provided to community members in need through local food pantries.

For the Eagle candidate, it is a chance to develop and plan a project from start to finish as well as provide leadership to those who come out to work on the project.
