Today was a BIG day.

Liam had his post op appointment. His splint was removed and he was transitioned into a hard cast. He will be non-weight bearing for the next 6 weeks, making everyday life a little more complicated for a while. We continue to celebrate all the little victories and pray through the pain and discomfort.

We ask for prayer over Liam these next couple days. Today was especially painful when they set his foot in the cast. The 90 degree angle stretched his achilles tendon, sending his pain level to a 15. Right now we are praising God that we discovered a new position for him to get some much needed relief so he can rest🙏

Thank you for your continued prayers!

A special thank you to all that have been praying for Liam. We are thankful to report that over the past two days he has shown some real signs of improvement. His pain is minimal and he has regained some mobility and can now sit in an arm chair recliner. Continued prayers are needed as he has a long road to recovery. This Tuesday he has his first follow-up appointment and his surgeon will transition him into a cast. We will continue to post his progress as we are able.

Thank you to our home church First Baptist Church of Massillon and those that have providing meals/ gift cards for our family this week. Thank you Misty Anderson for coordinating this! It has been a big help to us.

*this picture was drawn by Garrett for his brother Liam. (Sidenote: Garrett and Sammy have been spending the week with Grandpa Timothy and Grandma Diane) We are so thankful for all the extra hands!! Also my parents, Sandy and Sam, who have offered round the clock care and drove all the way to Akron to get a prescription that was needed! (Long story 🍕 🍝). Cathy McDonald, thank you for offering to take Sammy for a fun girl’s day as well! We all feel very loved and cared for.

UPDATE: We arrived home around 10:30 this morning. Liam’s pain and discomfort have gone from 0-9 as the nerve block begins to wear off. We have him calmed down and resting now.

UPDATE: We ended up staying overnight due to a paperwork issue that prevented us from receiving our discharge papers. It was bizarre but evident that we were supposed to not leave. Liam is still numb and not feeling much of anything other than ready to get home. We ask for your prayers as we prepare to leave this morning. May there be no more delays and the process go smoothly.

UPDATE: Liam is awake and doing well. Tired and still feeling numb from the nerve block (which is what we want). He is going to try to eat a little. Still undecided if we will stay overnight.

UPDATE: Liam is out of surgery. Talked with the surgeon. Everything went well. We still waiting for him to wake and go back to see him.

UPDATE: they took him back at 1:00. Told us 3-4 hours.

UPDATE: surgery is running behind schedule today. We aren’t sure on the new time yet. We’ve met with the anesthesiologist and the surgeon. Liam is in good spirits.

We ask that you join us in prayer today for Liam’s surgery. We are checked in and everything is going smoothly. His surgery is scheduled for noon today and will be about 3 hours. We will keep you updated here. Tim Reese Stacy Reese

We are off to Camp Global @ Camp Cowen hosted by West Virginia Baptist Convention! Registration kicks off this evening, followed by dinner, vespers, and campfire.

This is our 2nd opportunity to be apart of this event. Last time we connected with some amazing people and we are looking forward to meeting more individuals that are passionate about missions and who are exploring God’s call in their own lives.

Please be in prayer over the individuals
and families that will be attending Camp Global (Aug 7 &8). May God’s spirit be made evident in all that is shared and may He alone recieve
all the glory and praise.

We spent a few extra days with our good friends in FL after WMC and are currently in route to WV and then home to Ohio. We also ask for prayers of endurance over each of us as we have been traveling for two full weeks now with our kids.

What a blessing it was to be a part of our first International Ministries WMC 2026 in Orlando, FL! Here are a few snapshots to highlight this three day conference. We saw some
familiar faces there from American Baptist Churches of Ohio as well.
