Massena Little League

Massena Little League Massena Little League offers an opportunity for the youth of Massena to participate in baseball at various levels.

Players must be 4 years of age BY May 1st and can't turn 13 years of age prior to May1st to register for the current season.

I am saying goodbye to little league after 13 years. I want to thank all the sponsors, volunteers, players, and everyone who made it all possible. A special thank you to April Holder from A&J embroidery, Brian Jenack Jenacks Canvas, Jeff Tyo Perras Excavating, Tim Curran Seaway Timber, Phil Lashomb and Kevin Hartigan, Mike McCabe and the Village Recreation Department, former board members Eric Firnstein, Dan Mitchell, Angie Smith, Chris Herrick, Molly Clough from Carrothers and Clough, and Tim Hayes from athletics! I know I will forget someone, and I apologize. I have enjoyed it all, and I know the new board will do great. I am looking forward to seeing how the league progresses. Good luck in 2023 and keep baseball alive in Massena! Good luck to Leon Shorette and the new board!

Did you enjoy Little League's firework show? Help contribute to next years show by donating your cans and bottles. Contact Pete to pick them up or drop them off, and advise the crew at Bottle and Can Retrieval on East Orvis St. Donations can be mailed to Massena Little League P.O. Box 5063 Massena, NY 13662. All money raised by these donations will go toward next years firework show August 5th!!

I would like to thank many people for the success in our annual Massena Little League Rotary Tournament and fireworks show this past weekend. Thanks goes to all the sponsors who support our league throughout the year as well as to the parents and volunteers who make it possible. I want to personally thank Chief Matt Rourke and PJ Burns from the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribal Department for providing lighting and music during the homerun derby. Also, the Massena Department of Transportation, Tim Curran and Seaway Timber, and the United States Border Patrol for also providing lighting for the homerun derby. Thanks to Jason Hoxie and SUBWAY for donating subs and other items for our concessions. Phil Lashomb and Kevin Hartigan for all their countless volunteer hours to make the fields amazing and safe for the players. Thanks to the Massena Volunteer Fire Department, Chief Jason Olson and Massena Police Department, Massena Village Department of Public Works, and the Massena Recreation Department for providing assistance in traffic control, clean-up, and site preparation during a more than hectic weekend.

Thanks to Terry Peets from Bottle & Can retrieval and everyone who donated their cans and bottles to provide the best fireworks show. Cedar View Golf Course for their support and donations, Chris Herrick from Whalen, Davey & Looney CPA for their donations.

Thanks to Young's Explosives and Leland Green and his staff for an amazing
fireworks display that truly out did any from years past.
Thanks to the umpires, concession workers, field maintenance crews and Hunter Mitchell who assisted all weekend through extremely hot weekend weather.
Thanks to all the players, coaches, and parents who attended our tournament.

Finally I want to thank the community of Massena and surrounding areas for their continuous support to provide these opportunitues for youth in our area.

Finally, thank you to anyone I may have forgot, I know you know how appreciative I am of your support and help!
