While researching support groups for people living with CML (Chronic Meyloid Leukemia) I came across the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Having been diagnosed with CML last November, I would like to do my part and help raise awareness of blood cancers and continue to support and fight for and alongside those that are battling Leukemia. The “Shred for Red” event does just that.

I am grateful for all those that have supported me in my battle so far, as well as the support given to the countless number of families that your donations have helped through Thin Blue Ride. As I continue my battle with CML, I will now ski and raise money to hopefully one day find a cure for Leukemia.

April 1-7 is testicular cancer awareness week! I am a….5 time testicular cancer survivor and currently battling CML (a form of leukemia)
I had testicular cancer in 2012. Then it spread to my chest and lungs, lymph nodes and brain (twice!)
Testicular cancer is found in males between the ages of 15-30 years old. It can be easily treated if found early. My case was rare and I kind of went through the ringer but I still made it through.
My advice is:
Know your body and know what feels right and what doesn’t.
Be your own advocate for proper treatment.
Seek the best treatment available. Dana-Farber saved my life multiple times.
Make a donation to help people like me who are getting treatments at Dana-Farber.
Or make a donation to Thin Blue Ride. Either way you are positively affecting a negative impact on someone’s life. Cancer sucks, so make it suck a little less.

Soooo, I wanted a bar in the new house. We call our house Rocky Hill House. Bar was built, now we have Rocky Hill Bar in the basement.
