Good evening!

We had an excellent organizational meeting yesterday in Mason. Many thanks to Nacho's Cafe in Mason for the great food and the use of their back room. Also, a huge thank you to both TSRA President Todd Jennings and Executive Director John Poole for making our meeting. We were proud to host you.

The following persons were nominated and elected as officers for TSRA Chapter #3 (The Hill Country Chapter) and they will serve a 2-year term.

Chapter President
Austin Skero - Mason

Chapter Vice President
John Palacio - Mason

Secretary
Gordon Gipson - Loyal Valley

Treasurer
Christina McDonald - Junction

The new officers will be working on our bylaws over the next few weeks so we can all discuss them at the next meeting, and hopefully vote them into existence.

The next meeting is scheduled for 18 January 1130-1330 at Nachos. We will have a few monthly meetings in Mason to ensure our new Chapter is well established and will then shift to a quarterly meeting cycle that alternates locations. The first quarterly meeting will be held in Kimble County.

Bring a new member with you to each and every meeting if possible! We need membership from Menard and McCulloch counties. Most of you took some of our membership application cards with you. I hope you’ll share them with like minded and patriotic folks in our area. I hope to visit Edwards County soon as well and get them into the fold.

Feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

Good morning!

We will have our organizational lunch meeting on December 7, 2024 (Saturday).

I’ve reserved the back room at Nachos Cafe in Mason from 11:30 to 1:30 for our meeting. Lunch will be on the individual and can be ordered off the menu or the daily special. Remember to tip your waitress!

I hope all of you will come to eat and help nominate and elect our officers. Also, bring along anyone else who may want to become a member. Anyone we’ve signed up as a member, including at our organizational meeting, will be listed as founding members of the chapter. They will also have a say in how our charter is established. Robert’s Rules of Order will be adhered to for the meeting.

I will be creating a Facebook event so that folks can RSVP, and we can let Nacho’s know how many people will be attending. I’m hoping for 20 or so to attend as that’s about the number we have signed up for the chapter. If you don’t use Facebook, just shoot me an email that you’re planning to attend.

Thanks and I hope to see you all there!

Austin

Welcome to the new TSRA Hill Country Chapter page. I hope to use this site (and email) to get the word out to members on meeting dates and times, as well as notifications on other events in the area.

I will be reposting the invitation/flyer to join the TSRA (and our new Chapter) here on the page. You’ll notice that I also included a “sign up” button on the page so you can just click there to sign up and become a member. If you do sign up, remember to select Austin Skero in the “referred by” section so your membership can be tracked back to our new chapter. If you are already a member, message me here (or email me) with your full name, membership number, and county of residence. This way I can make a note that you are a founding member. Anyone who is signed up before we submit our charter will be listed as a founding member. We already have about 12 new or existing members that will be shown as founding members.

Remember, while our service area will be the Mason, McCulloch, Menard, and Kimble county area, any TSRA member can be a part of any chapter. So, if you have friends or family from outside the area, who want to be members, and if they want to have a chapter home with us, please let them know.

I plan on setting up an in-person organizational meeting after the election. At this meeting, we will sign up anyone who comes and wants to be a member. So bring your friends when we get it scheduled. We will also elect our first officers and decide on how we would like to organize and run our new chapter. We will also sign and submit our chapter application (a formality) once we have elected officers that can sign it.

This first meeting will likely be in Mason, but I hope that we can agree to have future meetings rotate through the 4-county area. I hope to see a lot of folks at the first meeting. We are only the third location in Texas that has been authorized to set up a local chapter. I’m looking forward to growing the chapter, doing good things in our 4-county area, and growing membership for TSRA. The more members we have, the stronger our voice is in support of our constitutional rights.

Regards,
Austin Skero
