What a great week for Baltimore Healthy Start! đź’›

In our continued effort to provide fresh fruits and vegetables to the families and community members who visit our food pantry, our Records Coordinator/Coordinator of Donations & Pantry, Operations Manager, and Fatherhood Coordinator visited two local farms this week to explore new opportunities for collaboration.

We’re excited to share that one of those visits has officially blossomed into a new farm partnership! 🌱🤝

This partnership will help us bring more fresh, nutritious produce directly to the families and community members we serve.

We are grateful for new connections, community partnerships, and every opportunity to expand the resources available through our pantry.

What a great week—and we’re just getting started! 💚

After a long wait, BHS is proud to return to West Baltimore. This milestone was celebrated on Wednesday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the new location inside the Bethel Empowerment and Wellness Center. We’re honored to once again serve our West Side community—now closer and more accessible than ever.

This Nurse’s Week, we proudly salute our incredible team of nurses!

Led by our Deputy Director, Maxine Reed-Vance, and CRNP, Dr. Marilyn Berchie-Gialamas, our nurses go above and beyond every day to support and uplift the families we serve. From providing compassionate postpartum visits to helping moms create and achieve their reproductive life plans, their impact is truly life changing.

They also work closely with primary care providers to ensure our moms receive timely, coordinated, and high quality care every step of the way.

Thank you to our amazing nurses for your dedication, compassion, and unwavering commitment—you are the heart of what we do!
