Roll for a Reason is in full swing 💛

Right now, our team has raised $4,127 of our $5,000 goal… and we’re just getting started.

Every round rolled, every dollar pledged goes directly toward helping kids train Jiu Jitsu who otherwise wouldn’t have the opportunity—covering tuition, gear, and competition fees through Gis for Growth.

On April 24, our kids, teens, and adults will take on a 10-round challenge. It’ll be tough. It’ll be meaningful. And it’ll be something they remember.

WOW. Our community is incredible.

In less than 72 hours, we’ve already raised $2,600 for Gis for Growth through our Roll for a Reason fundraiser.

That means more kids will have access to training, gear, and opportunities on the mats that might not otherwise be possible.

We are beyond grateful for everyone who has donated, shared, and signed up to participate so far. This is exactly what community looks like.

Our goal is $5,000, and we still have 41 days to go.

Yesterday was a big day for Gis for Growth, and it’s all because of this incredible community.

First, we’re excited to share that we officially raised enough funds to purchase an AED for our youth training space. This has been something we’ve wanted in the room where our kids train, and thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we’re able to add another layer of safety for the athletes who spend so much time on these mats.

Second, the spectator donations from yesterday’s in-house tournament will be going directly toward monthly training tuition for athletes supported by Gis for Growth. Every dollar helps remove barriers so kids can stay on the mats, keep learning, and continue growing through Jiu Jitsu.

To everyone who competed, volunteered, donated, and showed up to support the event: thank you. You’re helping us create opportunities, build confidence, and support young athletes in a real, tangible way.

Gis for Growth Impact Update 🤍

Last week, one of our Gis for Growth athletes celebrated her one-year training anniversary. (Not pictured)

Her mom recently shared that since starting jiu jitsu, she’s grown in confidence and is doing better in school, something that means everything to us.

This is what your support does.

It gives kids access to consistency, structure, and a place where they’re believed in.

We’re so grateful for this community and the opportunity to keep pouring into these kids.

Today’s reminder:

Access changes lives.

Because of Gis for Growth, kids who might not otherwise have the opportunity get to step onto the mats, build confidence, and be part of something bigger than themselves.

This program continues to grow in thoughtful ways — staying needs-based, youth-focused, and rooted in community. Some kids need a full scholarship. Others just need a gi, a few months of support, or someone in their corner.

Every bit matters.

We have 23 kids signed up to compete in the next Pensacola thanks to !!! We can't wait to see these kids go out there and challenge themselves and build confidence in real time. Come check them out on January 24!!!
