Mars Elementary PTO

Website

Mars Elementary PTO We have a four-person executive board and four chairpersons in each elementary building, who run programs specifically for those children.

The Mars Elementary PTO is a group of board members plus special committee chairs who support student activities and programs in the Mars Area School District for grades Kindergarten through 6th grade. The PTO funds and coordinates field trips and t-shirts, field days, contact parent selection and 5th/6th-grade parties, teacher luncheons, an annual teacher-support fund, the yearbooks, the MAE book fair, holiday shops, March for Mars fundraiser, Spirit Wear, and special projects for each school. We run these activities with the help of scores of parent volunteers and the support of our building principals, teachers, and staff. We meet on the first Tuesday of each month at 9:30 a.m. in the PTO room at the Centennial Building, with the November and May meetings being the second Tuesday of the month. All parents of District students are members of the PTO and are welcome to join the meetings.

Did you sign up to shop the book fair with your kiddo yet? Because honestly, who doesn’t want an excuse to relive the days of Scholastic scented erasers and posters?

Want to be a hero? Come a little early or stay a little after and join us as a book fair helper! The PTO would love some extra friendly faces to cheer on our student shoppers (and help them resist the urge to buy clicker fidgets and squishies).

Your mission, should you choose to accept it: tidy the shelves for the next group of readers. It’s basically self-care disguised as volunteering.

Come for the books, stay for the nostalgia. We promise it’ll be a chapter you’ll love 💙💛

PS: We’re hosting family night again this year!

🎃 5th & 6th Grade Fall Parties - Parent Sign-ups! 🍂
Our 5th and 6th graders are ready for a fall celebration, and (as always) we need your help to make it happen!

Here’s what’s in store:

🎭 Costume contest
🎯 Fun and games
🎨 Creative activities

We need parent volunteers to help with running activity stations, assisting with the costume contest, and cleanup. Every bit of help makes a difference, and it’s a great way to share in the fun with your student.

Let's Party on Friday, October 23

6th grade: 1:00p - 2:00p
5th grade: 2:10p - 3:10p
