The Mars Elementary PTO is a group of board members plus special committee chairs who support student activities and programs in the Mars Area School District for grades Kindergarten through 6th grade. We have a four-person executive board and four chairpersons in each elementary building, who run programs specifically for those children. The PTO funds and coordinates field trips and t-shirts, fie
ld days, contact parent selection and 5th/6th-grade parties, teacher luncheons, an annual teacher-support fund, the yearbooks, the MAE book fair, holiday shops, March for Mars fundraiser, Spirit Wear, and special projects for each school. We run these activities with the help of scores of parent volunteers and the support of our building principals, teachers, and staff. in the PTO room at the Centennial Building, with the November and May meetings being the second Tuesday of the month. All parents of District students are members of the PTO and are welcome to join the meetings.
