My name is Bree and I am super excited to be apart of another cheer season as assistant coach! I am a mom to 2 amazing girls, Olivia (12) and Amelia (3), and the best bonus daughter a mom could ask for, Emma (12). Cheerleading has been a huge part of my life starting at 4 years old, competing on 3 different level 4 coed competitive allstar teams, and continued through college. I also coached at the Mattoon Gymnastics Academy, where I loved helping athletes grow in both skill and confidence. I can’t wait to bring that same passion and energy to this team!

“Hi everyone! My name is Laci, and I’m excited to be returning as the Head Coach of the HW team for the second year in a row. I also serve as the Fundraising and Social Media Coordinator for the JFL Cheerleading team. I have a 12 year old son, Myles.

I bring 10 years of cheer experience along with multiple years of coaching experience. Cheerleading has always been a huge passion of mine, and I love helping athletes grow both on and off the mat.

One of my favorite parts of coaching is watching the girls excel, build confidence, and most importantly, have fun throughout the season.

I’m looking forward to bringing my knowledge, energy, and expertise to the 2026 season and can’t wait to see what this team accomplishes together!”

Hi! My name is Chelsey Morris and I am the Assistant Coach for JFL Lightweight Cheer for the second year in a row. My favorite part of coaching has been watching the girls confidence grow as they improve their skills and build friendships.

I am the Intervention Aid at MFGS as well as the owner of Our Southern Nest and the chaos coordinator at home! I have two 2026 graduates, a 7th grader and a 5th grader for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year.

Meet Coach Jessica!

Jessica is the President and Treasurer of JFL Cheer, as well as the Head Coach for JFL Lightweight Cheer. This is her second year coaching cheer, and she brings a strong dance background along with a passion for teaching and mentoring young athletes.

Outside of cheer, Jessica works within the school district as a paraprofessional and substitute nurse. As a proud parent of three children in the district, she loves being involved in the community and helping youth build confidence, learn new skills, and shine both on and off the field.

Jessica is looking forward to an amazing season filled with growth, teamwork, and fun with a great team!

With my 11 years of cheer experience, I’m excited to bring my knowledge and passion for the sport into coaching. My goal as a coach is to help the girls build confidence, improve their skills, and have fun while creating a positive environment. “Hi everyone! I'm Jen - proud mama to Addison (8) & Aiden (10) and so excited to be coaching alongside Megan and Bry this season! While I may not have a cheer background, I've spent plenty of time on the sidelines cheering kids on, juggling busy sports schedules, and supporting young athletes however I can.
I'm passionate about creating a positive, encouraging environment where the girls can build confidence, learn teamwork, work hard, and most importantly - have fun! I love being involved, bringing energy to the team, and I promise to help make this season a great experience for every athlete.

Meet the newest head coach for our lovely 3rd and 4th graders, Megan Butts!

“I have experience in dance, pom-pom, and cheerleading from my earlier years.
I have two children in the MF district, Thomas, who is 10, and Paislee, who is 8.
I was involved with MFCC for three years, serving as President for the past two years.
I enjoy working with students to foster confidence, discipline, and school pride through various programs, and I am now able to incorporate cheerleading into that.”

Trojan Family,
This week a former Middle School student who is a current High School student that plays our beloved Chuck The Trojan, was diagnosed with Leukemia. In support of him and his family, we are asking every student to wear Blue and Gold tomorrow (Friday, November 14th). We will also be accepting donations that will go directly to the family to help with travel to and from his out of town treatments. Let's put our Excellence and Pride on full display tomorrow! Go Trojans! Go Chuck!
