Until we get that covered, we're not in a position to take in the next group of cats who need vetting.

Sherbert Update!

Sherbert got the vet care he needed this week thanks to you!

He went home with the kind lady who has been caring for his colony while he recovers...

And then this little stinker decided his cast wasn't part of the plan. 😂

So he's BACK at the vet today to have it reset and make sure his leg gets the proper chance to heal.

Today's appointment is $65, and we need to cover it so Sherbert can come home.

The burden is lighter when we all carry it together. ❤️

Did you know a group of cats is called a clowder?

Well, we have an amazing volunteer at the vet this morning with a whole clowder of kitties! 😂🐱🐱🐱

They're getting the care they need, but we're still a little short on funds to cover everything from tests, medications, spay, neuter, vaccines, etc.

We Need Your Help Now!

Tomorrow we have 5 cats scheduled to be spayed, neutered, and vaccinated.

And that's just what's already on the calendar.

Only 1 female, Tank, is fully funded (thank you to everyone who donated to her!)

We also have sick cats needing care.

More TNR requests coming in daily.

More cats waiting for someone to say yes.

We're here to help.

We want to help.

But we can't volunteer our time, spend hours trapping and transporting, AND somehow keep paying the vet bills out of our own pockets.

We need our community to step up with us.

AMAZING NEWS FOR SHERBERT!

Sherbert's leg can be saved!

We were so worried he might need an amputation, but after seeing another vet that is familiar with his injuries, we have a chance to properly reset his broken leg and give it the best opportunity to heal.

While he's under anesthesia, we also want to get him neutered so he doesn't have to go through another procedure later.

Then comes about 6 weeks of recovery while that leg heals.

His next step costs $183.50.

We know we've asked for Sherbert a lot lately, but you have already gotten this sweet boy this far.

Let's finish what we started. ❤️

🐾💔 Sherbert Update 💔🐾

We have some answers, but Sherbert still has a long road ahead.

He has a compound spiral fracture and will need extensive care if we're going to try to save his leg.

Amputation may still be necessary.

For now, he received pain medication to keep him comfortable until we can get him to a specialist who can help us decide what's best for him.

The good news?

His exam, X-rays, and pain medication were covered today.

Thank you. Seriously.

Tomorrow we're raising $70 for his next veterinary exam.

Since his X-rays have already been taken, we're not expecting additional imaging costs, just a treatment plan.

We do expect Sherbert's care to be significant from there.

But first, we need to get him to the right vet.

We need your help with an emergency.

Sherbert is a stray kitty from Marion with a broken leg that's just dangling there. 💔

This sweet boy is in pain, and he doesn't deserve to spend another day suffering.

We don't know yet what his options are. It's very possible he may need an amputation, but we're not vets and we need to get him properly evaluated first.

Sherbert is going to our vet tomorrow for an exam, X-rays, and pain management so we can find out exactly what we're dealing with and make a plan.

Our initial goal is $200 to get Sherbert the care he needs.
