🐾❤️ Against All Odds... He's Safe ❤️🐾

Once again, another life is safe thanks to David!

After a friend spotted an injured tiny kitten dodging traffic along Highway 13, David knew he had to try.

And try he did.

For hours.

Starting around 3 PM, he searched everywhere for that baby. When he couldn't find him, he left to grab supplies and kitten food, hoping he could lure him out.

When he returned, he heard it.

Tiny cries for help.

Just enough to narrow down the location.

Then began the real search.

Tall weeds.

Stickers.

Ticks.

Mud.

Snakes.

Hour after hour, searching through thick ground cover with no sign of the kitten.

Katie joined the search.

By then, the little cries had stopped.

No movement.

No sound.

No clue if he was still there or had wandered off.

We played kitten sounds and got a single tiny meow in response.

Then silence again.

As darkness settled in and the clock crept toward 9:30 PM, our flashlights were still going, but our hope was starting to fade.

We were discussing backup plans and debating whether leaving food overnight would do more harm than good by attracting predators.

Then suddenly...

David looked down.

"There he is. Right there. Take the light."

And just like that, after hours of searching, he reached down into the thick vegetation we'd been walking through all evening and scooped up the tiny kitten.

Safe at last. ❤️

Honestly, this has to be one of the luckiest cats we've ever met.

With his nose injury and rough start, he needs to see a vet as soon as possible to make sure he's okay.

If you'd like to help with his care, every dollar makes a difference when we come together.

One tiny life gets another chance because a few people refused to quit. 🐾❤️

🐾 A Quick Reality Check 🐾

Lately, I've received quite a few comments and messages about stray cats we post.

Things like:

"Why don't you bring him inside?"

"If that was my cat, I'd take better care of him."

"You should just keep them."

And honestly... I think some people don't understand what TNR actually looks like.

The cat in the video isn't my cat.

He's a stray.

One of many.

Just like Stanley.

Just like Rita.

Just like Clawdia.

Just like countless others we've helped.

If bringing every stray cat inside was a realistic solution, there wouldn't be thousands of homeless cats in Southern Illinois right now.

The reality can't be one or 2 people saving every cat.

The solution is a community working together.

It's raising money for vet care.

It's transporting cats to appointments.

It's trapping.

It's socializing.

It's finding rescues.

It's getting cats fixed so they don't produce another generation of kittens.

The people out there feeding, trapping, transporting, fostering, and paying vet bills are already carrying more than most people realize.

What we need isn't more criticism.

We need more people willing to help.

Because every hour spent typing a hateful comment could have been spent sharing a post, donating a few dollars, offering a ride to a vet appointment, caring for a cat, or helping a neighbor trap.

If you want to help, we're grateful for you. Truly.

But if your contribution is simply telling the people already doing the work that they should somehow do even more, maybe consider extending a little grace instead.

We're not perfect.

We're just trying to help the cats that nobody else is helping. 🐾❤️

Can you imagine looking at innocent babies and deciding they deserved to die simply because they were inconvenient?

That’s what almost happened to these 4 kittens yesterday. 💔

Momma cat was trying to move them to a safe place and got separated from them through all the chaos.

She did manage to move 3 of her babies, but we don't know where.

Hopefully to a place safe.

The kittens left behind were being fed ice cream because the people involved didn’t know what else to do… but they also said if someone didn’t take them, they would end the kittens.

So of course Joyce & Robin stepped in and said they’d take them, leaving them in that situation was not an option.

And that’s how Ashley unexpectedly became the overnight caretaker of 4 teeny little babies needing love, warmth, and a whole lot of patience 😅🐾

Thankfully, these kittens are safe now.

But tiny lives should never hang in the balance just because humans failed them.

Please spay & neuter, it's the most humane solution

🐾💛 Clawdia Update! 💛🐾

Clawdia officially got her stitches out! ❤️

This sweet girl has been through so much between her eye surgery, spay, medications, and healing journey… and seeing her make it to this point feels incredible. 🥹

No more stitches.

No more cone of shame.

Just a fresh start for a kitty who truly deserved one. 🐾💕

Thank you to everyone who donated, shared, checked in on her, and helped us give Clawdia the care she needed.

Every single bit of support mattered. ❤️

🐾 LOST CAT, PLEASE SHARE 🐾

📍 Herrin, IL
Near 1100 Duncan Street Apartments

Skye has been missing for almost 2 months, but there have finally been several recent sightings in the past couple days and her family is desperately trying to bring her home. ❤️

Skye is an American Shorthair, almost 2 years old, and smaller sized around 6–7 lbs.

The first recent sighting was directly behind the apartment in the yards connecting to the nearby houses in the neighborhood.

Please keep an eye out, especially around garages, porches, sheds, crawlspaces, and under decks. Lost cats often stay very close by and hide quietly during the day. 🐾

If you see Skye or think you may have spotted her, please message immediately with location and time seen.

Let’s help get this girl back home where she belongs. ❤️

🐾🔥 Attic Rescue Mission… SUCCESS 🔥🐾

For the last couple weeks, we’ve been watching a momma cat named Bella.

We knew she had babies when she started showing signs of nursing… but where were they?

We searched.

Neighbors searched.

People checked attics.

Nothing.

At one point, we honestly thought she may have moved them somewhere down the alley… until someone suddenly spotted a tiny little black kitten head poking out of a roof gable. 🥺

That’s when everything kicked into motion.

The homeowners reached out immediately and some incredible volunteers stepped in to help.

It was brutally hot in that attic.

Blown insulation everywhere.

One wrong step and someone could’ve gone through the ceiling.

But none of that mattered once those babies were found. ❤️

3 kittens and their momma are now SAFE. 🐾

These babies have literally never seen humans before, so they’ve got a long road of socialization ahead before rescue… but now they have that chance.

And Bella?

She’s been such a good mom.

Protecting her babies the only way she knew how… in a scorching attic all alone.

We’re so proud of her.

But she should never have to go through this again.

👉 We need to get Bella spayed, $150
👉 Babies surrender fees for rescue, $60
👉 Kitten food & litter desperately needed

If you’d like to support mommas like Bella and the tiny babies depending on us, we’d be incredibly grateful. ❤️

And thank you, truly, to the homeowners, neighbors, and volunteers who showed up for cats that were never “theirs”…

That’s how lives get saved. This is how we make a difference, together🐾

🐾💔 We Need Help for a Very Sick Kitty 💔🐾

There’s a cat in Harrisburg that one kind woman has been trying desperately to help.

She even managed to get him to a vet once herself… but the treatment costs were more than she could handle alone, and this poor boy still desperately needs care.

Truthfully… this cat has no one.

Except for one person who refused to stop trying to help him. ❤️

We want to step in and help give him a real chance.

He has a vet appointment scheduled in Marion on Tuesday at 9am, but we need help getting him there and/or back home afterward.

If anyone is able to transport, please reach out.

We are also trying to raise $150 for his exam and initial medications.

He has a severe upper respiratory infection and is currently not eating or drinking… which can become fatal if left untreated. 💔

👉 If you can donate, transport, share, or even just help us spread the word, it all matters right now.

This kitty deserves more than suffering alone. 🐾❤️

🐾💛 Big Ask for the Little Ones 💛🐾

Would anyone be able to help us with a playpen setup for kittens?

We currently have several little ones that need extra socialization before they can head off to rescue, and something like this would make a HUGE difference. ❤️

For feral or undersocialized kittens, having a safe smaller space helps them feel less overwhelmed, less stressed, and allows them to slowly learn that humans can be kind.

Right now we’re making do with what we have, but this setup would make the process so much easier on both the kittens and caregivers. 🐾

We know it’s a big ask, but if anyone would like to donate one, contribute toward one, or help us find an affordable option, we’d be incredibly grateful.

These tiny babies are worth the extra effort. 💕

🐾💛 Clawdia Update… she’s still fighting like a champ 💛🐾

Clawdia is healing from her eye removal surgery & spay, overall she’s doing really well. ❤️

She did have a little setback with her eye, so she’s now on antibiotics and unfortunately rocking the dreaded cone of shame… poor girl. 🥺💕

Even with all she’s been through, she’s still pushing forward and adjusting to her new normal like the strong little kitty she is.

Cats like Clawdia didn’t ask for this life… but thanks to you, they don’t have to face it alone. 🐾❤️
