Can I get just ONE mowing day without rain? 😂🌧️

Since Mother Nature had other plans, I used the downtime to show off the Dodge Ram that Mathews Dodge has generously allowed Gen Real Do Good to borrow so we can keep serving our community. This truck has fewer than 30,000 miles and is ready for a new owner!

A huge thank-you to Mathews Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram for keeping our volunteer mowing project moving while my truck is being repaired.

🌧️ Gen Real Do Good: Rain or Shine… Apparently. 😂

Josh and Saul headed out today with one simple goal: mow some yards.

Did they check the weather first? Absolutely not.
Did they get caught in quite the storm? Absolutely. 🌧️😂
Did they still manage to get a yard mowed? They sure did.

One more Marion property cleaned up. One more small way to take care of the community we call home.

To the woman who called to get her neighbor’s overgrown yard mowed, then yelled at Saul, a 13-year-old volunteering his summer break to help: we hope today is a better day. To everyone who thanked us, offered drinks and showed support, thank you. And thanks to Dr. Michael McCleese for keeping poison ivy out of my eye this time! 😂🌿

We are incredibly thankful to the Marion Star for taking the time to share what Gen Real Do Good has been working on. ❤️
Our goal has never been recognition, it's simply to help where we can and hopefully inspire others to find their own way to serve our community. Whether it's mowing a yard, helping a neighbor, or supporting another local nonprofit, every act of kindness matters.
Thank you to everyone who has encouraged us, shared our posts, and cheered us on. We truly appreciate it, and we're excited to keep serving Marion one project at a time. 🌱

A lot of people have been asking questions about what we're doing, so we figured we'd answer a few while we were out mowing another property! 🌱

Some of the big ones: ✅ Do we get paid? Nope! We're running on a shoestring budget, a little bit of money and a whole lot of manpower. 😄 ✅ Why do we do it? Because we believe small acts of kindness can make a real difference in our community. ✅ Can you donate or volunteer? We truly appreciate the support, but at this time we're not accepting outside funding or volunteers for our mowing projects.

If you'd like to make a difference, we encourage you to help a friend, family member, or neighbor who could use a hand, or support one of the many incredible nonprofits and charities already doing amazing work throughout Marion. Every act of kindness matters, and together we can make our community stronger.

A little rain wasn't going to stop us. 🌧️ We showed up, got soaked, and kept mowing because that's what serving your community looks like. Every project reminds us that making a difference isn't always convenient, but it's always worth it.
