: Dolly Parton Bear 🤍

Dolly was adopted just two weeks ago, and it sounds like she knew immediately that she was home.

Her family was looking for a larger dog to grow up alongside their young boys, and Dolly has turned out to be the gentlest love bug they could have imagined. She happily accepts their big hugs, plays gently with them, and has absolutely no concept of personal space when there is love and attention to be had.

Dolly is a Great Pyrenees/Golden Retriever mix, but her family says those classic Pyr traits are already shining through. She settled into her new home almost immediately, her canine siblings have adjusted beautifully to having a gentle giant in the family, and she has already taken her home-protection duties very seriously… especially when suspicious birds are nearby. 😂

Her family told us they’ve changed the names of their last three rescue dogs, but this time there was no question. Dolly fits her perfectly.

“She has the charm, loves everyone she meets, and a beauty just like Dolly Parton.”

They also shared how happy they were with the adoption process and the matchmaking that helped bring Dolly into their family.

Now Dolly Parton Bear has a home full of boys to love, dogs to call family, plenty of attention to demand, and a lifetime of adventures ahead.

This is why we rescue. Happy tails, sweet Dolly. 🤍

🐾 MEET OLLIE! YOUR 115-POUND FLUFFY COMPANION! 🐾
Handsome Ollie is a 3-year-old Great Pyrenees looking for a loving forever home! This beautiful boy has been a cherished family member since he was just 16 weeks old, but due to his owner’s health, he now needs a new family to love him just as much. ❤️
Ollie is an affectionate, gentle boy who enjoys the comforts of being an indoor dog. He loves his daily walks, especially when he gets to take his time sniffing all the interesting things along the way!
A little more about Ollie:
🐾 3-year-old male, 115 lbs
🐾 Neutered, microchipped & up to date on vaccinations
🐾 Housebroken and knows how to communicate when he needs to go outside
🐾 Quiet indoors, but loves to let his voice be heard outside!
🐾 Friendly with familiar neighborhood dogs, although he can be cautious around unfamiliar dogs
🐾 Loves affection and spending time with his people
Ollie is happiest having a comfortable indoor space of his own rather than being kenneled. He would love a family that understands the Great Pyrenees breed and can give him the companionship, daily walks, and love he’s accustomed to.
His owner describes him as truly magnificent, and we couldn’t agree more! This handsome boy deserves a wonderful next chapter with a family who will cherish him. 💕

Meet Jedi — 95 pounds of Great Pyrenees love looking for his forever home.

Jedi is a 4-year-old male who does wonderfully with other dogs and kids. He’s a big, handsome guy with all the size you’d expect from a Pyr, along with a sweet temperament that could make him a wonderful addition to the right family.

He has not been evaluated with cats, so we’re unsure how he would do in a home with them.

If you’ve been looking for a big, beautiful Pyr to welcome into your family, Jedi may be your guy.

Meet Lola.

Lola is a beautiful 5-year-old, 120-pound girl who is looking for a new beginning after the heartbreaking loss of her owner.

She is housebroken and absolutely loves going for walks and car rides. Lola has spent time with teenagers and has done well with them, but she has not lived with cats.

Lola is cautious around other dogs, so she would do best with patient, thoughtful introductions that allow her the time and space she needs to feel comfortable.

She has already experienced a major loss, and now she deserves the chance to feel safe, loved, and settled again. We would love to find her a home where she can begin this next chapter surrounded by people who will give her the patience and security she deserves.

Bowie is still waiting for his person.

He’s only 2 years old, housebroken, good in the house, and gets along with both dogs and cats. He’s also done well with kids 10 and older.

Bowie is a true Great Pyrenees. He’s loyal, protective of his home, and takes a little time to warm up to new people. He isn’t the dog who wants strangers rushing up to greet him, but give him some space and let him come to you, and he settles in.

He walks well on leash overall, rides in the car, and would do best with someone who understands that a Pyr can be both incredibly loving and very serious about protecting the people and home he considers his own.

Around other dogs, Bowie simply needs meals managed separately because he doesn’t like another dog approaching his food.

Bowie doesn’t need a perfect home. He needs the right one. Someone patient, confident, and willing to understand him.
