We’ve wanted to be more present here and share more frequent updates. But the truth is, keeping up with the fast-paced of social media is hard when life demands our focus elsewhere: on prayer, family, and growing in faith through daily struggles. Perhaps our Lord is calling us to post less so we can pour our energy into what truly matters: serving our youth and their families.

Yet, just when the challenge felt heavy enough that we considered stepping back this pass summer, a voice of trust brought calm to our doubts. “Be patient and continue,” our parish priest reminded us, sharing his deep hope for the parish to be known as an FNE parish.

This artwork is a commission he requested; a reflection of what he sees through our presence here. It depicts Ven. Fr. Sevin embracing the units he cherished and watched flourish with Lord Baden Powell: the Wayfarers, Explorers, and Timber Wolves. Beside them stands a little Otter, an unit Lord B.P. and Ven. Fr. Sevin didn’t originally envision, but one undoubtedly born from their charity and zeal. How could we not extend this educational vision to the youngest among us? ‘Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them; for to such belongs the kingdom of God.’ (Luke 18-16). Holding the hand of an Explorer, the little Otter steps confidently onto a path toward the higher ranks.

Our deepest thanks to the remarkably talented Chris Lewis (BARITUS Catholic Illustration) for bringing this vision to life. We are immensely grateful to Holy Family Catholic Church, Fr. Miguel, and all the parish ministries for welcoming the Federation of North-American Explorers program with open arms.

We don’t know how much impact we are making on social media, but our prayer remains steadfast: “Save that we will know our deeds are in accordance with Thy most Holy will.”
