So much to be thankful for. Last week we had a wonderful support group member sponsor lunch— thanks to Judy and Thrivent Financial! Lunch was provided by Paul’s Pot Pies and it was delicious! We have caring and expert sign language interpreters provide their services for one of our members thanks to Wellstar. Our volunteers continue to show up and provide love and nurturing to all who attend. North Metro Church generous provide a space for our meetings and their staff gives so much kindness in all they do. We have a sweet angel, Meg, who puts her love in the decorations and small gifts she makes for each support group meeting. This Sunday I just can’t help but feel thankful to be part of this amazing LACO family. I ran across this sweet message in a thank-you note I found again today while going through my desk. These notes remind me why we do this work and that even a simple gift card can make a meaningful difference in someone's life. 💜A grocery gift card may seem like a small thing, but to someone facing cancer, it can mean one less worry and knowing that someone cares. Right now, we have more than $6,000 in urgent financial assistance requests waiting to be funded. Just last week, more than 50 cancer patients submitted financial requests to Loving Arms for help with basic needs— help with utilities, groceries, and transportation.

Since July 8, 2014, Janet has been one of the hearts behind our mission, leading with compassion, determination, and an unwavering commitment to serving individuals and families impacted by cancer. What began over 11 years ago has grown into a legacy of hope, support, advocacy, and community because of her vision and dedication.

Through every challenge, every success, and every life touched by Loving Arms, Janet has remained focused on one goal: ensuring that no one faces cancer alone.
Her leadership has helped Loving Arms Cancer Outreach expand its reach, strengthen community partnerships, and provide vital resources to countless cancer patients, survivors, and caregivers throughout our community.
