Angels for Paws is dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating dogs and cats from high-kill county shelters and other critical situations. We assist dogs and cats in distress regardless of age, breed, or ease of placement.

It’s been several months since we’ve rescued little Selena out of Pinal County Animal Control and we haven’t had any inquiries on her. 😭

Selena really is the sweetest little cutie. It’s mind blowing she hasn’t been adopted yet! 🤯 She loves making friends, is a major cuddler, and awesome travel partner. 🌎

It will be a bittersweet day when Selena finally leaves us for her forever home, but she’s so deserving of a family of her own.

Sometimes all a dog needs is a chance.

Scooter wasn’t barking because he was aggressive. He was scared, overwhelmed, and trying to survive in one of the most stressful environments a dog can experience. The constant noise, unfamiliar people, confinement, and uncertainty can push even wonderful dogs into defensive behaviors.

Unfortunately, many dogs are judged within seconds at the shelter. A barking dog is quickly overlooked by potential adopters leaving that dog to repeat the worst day of their life over and over until someone finally gives them a chance.

We gave Scooter a chance. Now look at him in his forever home. 🥰🐾

This is the transformation that happens when someone looks past the kennel and gives a dog the opportunity to decompress, feel safe, and the support they need to be successful.

This is why rescue matters. ❤️

But stories like this don’t happen without a community standing behind them. Every dog we save depends on people willing to step up.

Meet Whiskey 🥃 The shepherd, wanna be fluffy doodle. 😂

Whiskey, is another pup from our litter of mom and six pups. Whiskey is available for foster or adoption through our rescue along with her siblings! Pups will be completely vetted, spayed, and microchipped. These pups are growing up quick and we would love to find their forever homes asap!

Introducing, Delta! 😍

Delta, is apart of the litter where a stray mom gave birth in an old dog house on the back of a property in rural Hidden Valley. Isn’t she a beauty?! 🥰

Delta is available for foster or adoption through our rescue! She will be completely vetted, spayed, and microchipped. These pups are growing up quick and we would love to find their forever homes asap!

🚨Today is the Last Day of our Mom & Pups Fundraiser on Instagram 🚨

Please donate if you can! Any little bit helps!

It’s easy to forget the enormous cost that comes with saving an entire family! We are currently caring for about 30 dogs in our rescue already and we run completely on donations!

This mama and her puppies didn’t just need a safe place to land—they need veterinary care, vaccinations, deworming, quality food, supplies, cleaning products, and around-the-clock care. As these puppies grow, so do the expenses. Every puppy will need continued medical care, vaccinations, and eventually spay/neuter before they can safely find loving homes.

We are still far from reaching our goal. Pups are still in need of their spay/ neuter surgeries and mom is in need of training to help her become adoptable. Our reality is our rescue cannot continue saving dogs like this mama and her babies without support from the community. 😔

We were so excited to post our recent adoptions yesterday. Unfortunately, two dogs will be returning to the rescue this weekend. 😔

This is the harsh reality of animal rescue. Just when you think you might get your chin above water, another wave comes crashing in. It’s a never ending, uphill battle. And WE. ARE. EXHAUSTED. 😭

Every returned dog means another kennel that stays full, more food to buy, more veterinary care to provide, more time dedicated to training and enrichment, and fewer opportunities to help the next dog waiting for a chance. Rescue is a constant balancing act, and without support from our community, it becomes nearly impossible to keep going.

Rescues cannot survive on good intentions alone. We need fosters willing to open their homes, adopters committed to working through the adjustment period, volunteers willing to lend a hand, and donors who help cover the ever-growing costs of care.

The truth is that every dog that enters rescue is a commitment. Sometimes that commitment lasts days, sometimes months, and sometimes much longer than anyone anticipated. We don’t give up on them when things get difficult, but we can’t do it alone.

If you’ve been thinking about fostering, adopting, volunteering, or donating, now is the time. The dogs in our care are counting on a community that stands beside them through the highs and the lows.

We don’t just spay and neuter. We test. We vaccinate. We stop the spread of disease. And we do our best to help curve the pet overpopulation. 🐈

No one will ever know these two cats’ names.

They’ll never ask for help. They’ll never wag their tails when they see us. Most people will never even notice they’re there.

But this weekend, because we showed up, they won’t bring more kittens into a life of survival. They won’t continue spreading preventable disease through the colony. They get to go back home healthier than they left.

That’s what TNVR is.
It’s not glamorous. There are no happy adoption photos. Just real work that quietly changes the future of an entire colony. 🐾

An elderly man with very little to give has made sure these cats never go hungry. We’re making sure they have a fighting chance to live healthier lives. And there are still more waiting. ❤️

This is prevention. This is compassion. This is how lasting change happens.
