Angels for Paws is dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating dogs and cats from high-kill county shelters and other critical situations. We assist dogs and cats in distress regardless of age, breed, or ease of placement.

FOSTER NEEDED FOR WINTER 🐾

Meet Winter. She’s a young shepherd/husky mix (just 10 months old) currently at Pinal County. She’s timid at first and needs a minute to warm up—but she will. She’s not shut down, just unsure.

What helps her most? Other dogs.
Winter LOVES being with other dogs and really comes out of her shell when she has a buddy (or two) to play with and follow. Because of that, we’re looking for a foster home with at least one friendly, confident dog.

She is spayed and up to date on vaccines, and training support is provided to help her continue building confidence and skills.

Winter is one of 5 siblings, and we are trying to get all of them out of the shelter before Christmas. Finding a foster for her helps move the entire group forward!

🚨 URGENT: Florence Needs a Foster NOW / Deadline 8/22🚨

Meet Florence — a beautiful soul sitting in a shelter with the clock ticking against her. She’s been diagnosed with mast cell cancer, and right now the shelter is no place for her to fight this battle. She deserves comfort, love, and a soft place to land.

We want nothing more than to pull her into safety, but until our property is fully built out, we are completely at capacity. The only thing standing between Florence and her second chance is a foster home.

CJ is training with Phantom K9 to address reactivity toward men stemming from past abuse, building the skills she needs for adoption.

David has trained countless dogs for us over the years—dogs many would have written off as “too much work” or, worse, “unadoptable.” His work doesn’t stop when a dog leaves the rescue. He continues to support adopters with everything from basic obedience to advanced behavior work and even full protection training. That kind of consistency changes outcomes.

Here’s the reality of why training matters:

🔹 Training ends excuses
“We don’t have time for the dog anymore.”
Training creates structure and routine that make life easier, not harder. Time isn’t the issue—commitment is.

“We’re having a baby.”
Dogs don’t need to lose their homes when families grow. Training builds boundaries and safety so children and dogs can thrive together.

When dogs are given the right foundation, the responsibility shifts where it belongs—on us as owners.

🐕Temperament: Let’s just say he’s got energy for days and very little chill — in the best way possible. He’s playful, a little wild, and fully committed to zoomies like it’s his full-time job. Loves toys, lives to wrestle, and will happily turn your backyard into a one-dog WWE arena. If you're looking for a laid-back couch potato... keep scrolling. But if you want a dog who’s always down for fun and will keep you laughing, Roscoe might just be your soulmate.

🏡 Idea Home: Roscoe’s dream home includes a fun-loving female dog or dogs who won’t mind being body-slammed daily, and active kids 12+ who won’t cry the first time he accidentally plows into them mid-zoomie or steals their toys.
