β οΈ SCAM ALERT. PLEASE READ AND SHARE β οΈ
It has come to our attention that scammers have targeted several small business owners and a nonprofit by falsely claiming to represent the Maricopa Night Market and collecting payment for vendor spaces. We are deeply troubled that members of our community have been taken advantage of, and we want to act quickly to prevent this from happening to anyone else.
Please know that if you were contacted and asked to send payment through Facebook messages, email, Zelle, Cash App, or any method outside of our official process, that communication was NOT from our organization.
β
The ONLY way to register for our events is directly through our website:
www.mphgivesback.com
β
Official communication will only come from:
π 480.405.5578 (call or text)
π§ [email protected]
π§ [email protected]
All vendor coordination is managed by Kimber Shelton, Organization Manager of Events and Development, and emails are monitored by our nonprofit board.
π« We will NEVER ask you to send money via Zelle or Cash App. Our organization does not have accounts with these platforms. For digital payments outside of website registration, we ONLY use PayPal and Venmo.
π§Ύ After registering, you will immediately receive an invoice receipt detailing your transaction, regardless of how payment was submitted. You will also always receive a follow up email containing the event details for the specific event you signed up for. If you did not receive both, please contact us right away to verify your registration status.
Our biggest concern is that someone may arrive at this Saturdayβs event, or a future event, believing they have secured a vendor space when they have not. If you are unsure about your registration status, please contact us immediately so we can confirm your participation.
We encourage everyone to stay alert, verify before sending payment, and help us protect our incredible community of small businesses and nonprofits by sharing this post.
If you believe you have been contacted by a scammer, please message us right away so we can document the incident and continue addressing this situation.
Thank you for helping us keep our community informed, protected, and supported
