Now that school is starting back, do your girls need an extracurricular activity? Join Scouts!! It is a great program for girls to learn new things from Camping and outdoor skills to swimming and other outdoor activities. We meet every Tuesday evening from 6:30-8. Stop by and check it out! We would love to see our troop expand and grow!

This past week, Troop 3 and Troop 3B attended summer camp at Heresink Scout Reservation. Even thought it was a wet and stormy week, both troops had a great time and were awarded Honor Troop and Best Campsite. Three of our girls were awarded Honor Camper. All in all we had a wonderful time!

Our girls were spotted in the local paper!! They are working on Citizenship in the Community and one of the requirements is to go to a local government meeting. On Tuesday we went to the local city council meeting! They learned a lot about how it works and some issues facing our little community’s people. Proud of them!

Our girls adopted a grandparent for Christmas as part of their service hours. 3 ladies were picked and we put together some awesome gifts for them! From personalized throw blankets, to hand sewn bowls ( sewn by our youngest scout, Anah) to candy to slippers. The girls enjoyed putting the gifts together.
Our Senior Patrol Leader, Ava and Patrol Leader, Emma delivered the gifts yesterday.
