This month, we’re shining a light on the importance of checking in, listening without judgment, and creating safe spaces where children and young people feel comfortable asking for help. Sometimes a simple “How are you really doing?” can make a difference.

We’re excited to announce that The K.I.N. Foundation, Inc. is now offering FREE, YEAR-ROUND NOTARY SERVICES for documents pertaining to children!

Because when it comes to children, we want to help in ANY way we can!

Whether it’s paperwork related to school, guardianship, travel, medical needs, or other child-related matters, we want to help make the process a little easier for families in our community.

This is just one more way K.I.N. is committed to supporting children and families and making a meaningful impact in our community.

Every child deserves the chance to learn essential water-safety skills—and for eligible Florida families, help is available! 🌊

The Swimming Lesson Voucher Program provides free swimming lessons for eligible Florida children ages 1–7.

✅ Florida resident
✅ Family income at or below 200% of the federal poverty level
✅ 8 swimming sessions with a certified local instructor, usually completed over two weeks

These lessons are more than a summer activity—they can help children build confidence and develop potentially life-saving water-safety skills. 💦❤️

The K.I.N. Foundation is proud to share this exciting initiative from the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Innovations Financial Credit Union and Florida SBDC at Florida State University!

The Jackson County High School Financial Literacy Program is helping prepare our juniors and seniors with the real-world financial knowledge and skills they’ll need beyond high school. Students will explore important topics such as:

💵 Budgeting & money management
🏦 Banking & savings
💳 Credit & responsible borrowing
📈 Loans & interest
🎓 Planning for college, careers & the future
🧠 Making smart financial decisions
🏆 Interactive challenges, including a Realistic Budget Challenge

This program will reach students across Cottondale, Graceville, Malone, Marianna, and Sneads, providing practical experiences that can help build confidence and financial independence.

At K.I.N., we believe that education extends beyond the classroom. Teaching young people how to manage money, make informed decisions, and plan for their future is an important part of preparing them for lifelong success. 💙💚

The Jackson County Chamber of Commerce is excited to partner with Innovations Financial Credit Union and the Florida Small Business Development Center (SBDC) to bring a countywide High School Financial Literacy Program to Jackson County students!

Throughout the school year, we’ll be visiting high schools across the county to provide juniors and seniors with practical financial education and real-world money management skills they can carry with them long after graduation.

Students will learn about budgeting, banking, saving, credit, loans, interest, and responsible financial decision-making — and then put those skills to the test through a Realistic Budget Challenge designed to show what managing money in the real world really looks like!

This initiative is about preparing our students to become confident, financially responsible adults by equipping them with the knowledge and tools they need to make informed financial decisions for their futures.
