Currently, our "Edelweiss Schuhplattlers" German Dance Group has 17 Adults & 2 Teens. We do traditional Austrian or German Folk Dances, with some Schuhplattlers, and enjoy doing many of these at each of our Performances. (Depending on the Venue, having some Attendees join us for a Dance is always fun for Everyone!)
Almost all of our Dances are easy to learn & are always fun to perform!! New Dance
rs are always welcomed - Adults, plus Children/Teens & their Parents/Families. (Over the years we've had many Dancers, of all ages, with several from non-German backgrounds. German Folk Dancing is unique, whereas three Generations can be performing together in the same Dance Group!)
We are available to do Half or One Hour Performance Shows, for almost any Venue (Churches, Schools, Senior Housings, Nursing Homes, Libraries, Fairs, Weddings, etc.). Festivals, including Renaissance ones, plus various Parties or International Events, are always a favorite too! (We often open for German Festivals, along with dancing for their Band Breaks.) Included with our one-hour Shows, is our Dance Instructor playing the Alpine Musical Brass Cow Bells, sometimes involving Audience participation. Also, a few of us are available for performing daytime during the Week. (Note: Due to our Non-Profit Status, we can only accept Donations for our Dancing Performances.)
