These days, so much of everyday life happens online, but not everyone has the technology or internet access they need at home. Marathon Public Library provides 24/7 Wi-Fi, along with public computers, printing, scanning, faxing, and staff assistance, all at no cost. It’s a place to get connected, get things done, and get help when technology gets complicated.

Big news for little readers!

Marathon Public Library is expanding our local Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library program to children living in Big Bend.

In 2025, 11 children in Marathon received a free, age-appropriate book in the mail every month, for a total of 113 books distributed throughout the year. Now, even more little readers will have books arriving at their door each month, from birth through age five.

September 25 is the first-ever Give Like Dolly Day, a new annual tradition honoring Dolly Parton’s lifelong commitment to giving back and helping children.

Want to help us put more books in the hands of children? Make a gift to MPL this Give Like Dolly Day. Your donation helps make Imagination Library possible and supports the work we do for children in our community.
