The scariest thing this Halloween is that I finally figured out what ChatGPT can do… and somebody probably should have supervised me. 😂🎃

Every MFP team now has its own Halloween makeover, and yes, I got the coaches too.

Please welcome this year’s Halloween lineup:

🐰 Dust Bunnies are the Boo Bunnies, which might be the least intimidating haunting of all time.

🧙‍♀️ Diamond Divas are the Witches of the Diamond. Suddenly, a few questionable pitches make sense. Witchcraft.

😈 Hot Tacos are serving up tricks, treats, and a side of mischief. Extra candy, hold the hot sauce. 🌮🍬

🤠 Cactus Criminals are Wanted for Stealing Candy. We probably should have seen this coming when they picked the name.

🦇 Diamond Dominators are the Rulers of the Night. Finally, a team that’s excited about more bats.

🧪 Marana Mayhem are bringing Mad Science Mayhem. Putting a team named Mayhem in charge of a laboratory feels like an avoidable mistake.

Week 8 brings Halloween weekend softball to Marana!

Mayhem kicks things off Friday, October 30, with a doubleheader at Riverfront. Then our other five teams hit the fields Saturday, October 31, starting at 8:00 AM!

Come cheer on our players before trading those gloves for candy bags. Softball first, trick-or-treating later! 👻🍬

What a night! Thank you to everyone who came out to our 4th Annual Marana Fastpitch Chili Cook-Off. Whether you brought the chili, sampled a little of everything, entered the raffles, or just came to spend the evening with our softball family, we’re so glad you joined us!

A special thank you to the Town of Marana for supporting our league and helping make this event possible. We appreciate your support of our players and families!

To our teams, coaches, team parents, board members, and volunteers: thank you for all the work that went into this night. From planning and putting together baskets to setting up, keeping things running, and staying to clean up, your time and effort did not go unnoticed. There is a lot that happens before the first bowl of chili is served and after everyone heads home. Thank you for being the people who make it happen. 🧡

Thank you to our chili cooks for sharing your recipes and bringing some friendly competition! And to the businesses, teams, and families who donated raffle prizes, thank you for giving everyone even more to get excited about while supporting our girls.

🏆 Congratulations to our chili cook-off winners and all our raffle winners! Enjoy those prizes, and cooks, we fully expect you to remind us about your bragging rights until next year. 😂🌶️

Our girls have a lot of people in their corner. Last night was a wonderful reminder of that.

Softball, team spirit, and a little chili on the side. Week 7 is a big one, Marana! 🥎🌵🌶️

Mayhem starts us off Friday, October 23, with games at 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM at Udall Field 2!

Saturday, October 24, the Dust Bunnies, Hot Tacos, and Diamond Divas play at 8:00 AM. Diamond Dominators and Cactus Criminals follow with doubleheaders at 10:00 AM and noon at Gladden.

After the games, keep the fun going at our Chili Cook-Off from 5:00 to 9:00 PM! Come cheer on our players, then bring your appetite for an evening with our Marana Fastpitch community.

Our chili cooks are coming for bragging rights. Somewhere in Marana, a family recipe is getting a practice run, a secret ingredient is being hidden from the neighbors, and someone is insisting they’re “not that competitive” while making their third test batch.

Join us October 24 from 5 to 9 p.m. for the Marana Fastpitch Chili Cook-Off. Bring the family, come hungry, and help us give these cooks an audience worthy of the amount of time they’ve spent thinking about beans.

The cooks aren’t the only ones with something to win! We’ve got TWO separate raffles, and neither requires you to reveal your grandmother’s secret recipe.

🏆🥎 MFP WEEK FIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK!

Congratulations to Adeline of the 10U Cactus Criminals, our Week Five Player of the Week! 🌟

Nine strikeouts in three innings! 🔥 Adeline allowed just one run during her time in the circle and scored a run herself, helping the Cactus Criminals earn a 12-4 victory and their seventh consecutive win!

Adeline brings determination and heart to every game, but her commitment doesn’t stop when team practice ends. She continues putting in extra work on her own, and that effort is showing up on the field!

Her teammates appreciate the work she puts in for them. Along with her performance, Adeline brings a positive attitude and big smiles to practices and games, helping lift the whole team. Way to go, Adeline! We’re proud of your dedication and the teammate you are! 🥎
