🚨 FIVE DOLLAR FRIDAY FOR AVA 🚨

2,035 days.

Read that again.
Two thousand and thirty-five days in a shelter kennel.

That’s over FIVE YEARS of concrete floors, barking dogs, metal gates, and waiting… always waiting.

Ava came to Bosque Animal Rescue Kennels from the Waco shelter. Her estimated birthday is 9/11/2017, which means more than HALF of her life has been spent inside a shelter system.

Half her life without a couch.
Without a yard of her own.
Without knowing what it feels like to truly belong to someone.

But today… there is finally hope. ❤️

One of our kennel workers fell completely in love with Ava and is ready to open her home and heart to her. After all these years, Ava finally has someone saying:
“You’re mine. You’re safe. You’re staying.”

The only problem?
Ava is a fence climber.

To safely give her the freedom she deserves during the day, we need to purchase a secure kennel with a covered top enclosure so she can decompress, play outside safely, and slowly learn what life outside the shelter feels like.

After 2,035 days… this dog deserves a real chance.

She deserves sunshine.
She deserves peace.
She deserves to finally exhale.

And honestly?
She deserves for this chapter of her life to be the LAST chapter she ever spends in a shelter kennel.

For this Five Dollar Friday, we are asking every single person reading this to donate just $5 toward Ava’s freedom setup. Every donation gets her one step closer to finally living like a dog instead of surviving like one.

💲 Ways to donate: BELOW

If you can’t donate, please share Ava’s story.
Because no dog should spend over 2,000 days waiting to be loved. 💔

Yesterday we showed you the lucky dogs getting their golden tickets… today, come along with us as those same paws touch Iowa soil for the very first time. 🐾❤️

After the long miles, late nights, diesel stops, and endless kennel cleaning, this moment makes every second worth it. Watching these dogs step off the van knowing their lives are changing forever is something we’ll never stop being grateful for.

Some arrived scared.
Some exhausted.
Some never knowing kindness before this journey.

From Bosque County, Texas to Jackson County, Iowa… these dogs are proof that rescue road trips save lives. Enjoy watching the unload below and seeing hope roll right out of the van. 🚐🐶

We may have been a little quiet on social media lately… but don’t think for one second that the dogs stopped leaving. ❤️🐾

Last week, 30 dogs loaded up and headed to Iowa for a second chance at life. Today, 5 more are leaving Texas. And several more are already scheduled for transport this Saturday.

This video shows Chelsie walking through the kennels, checking on all the lucky pups who got their “golden ticket” out of Texas last week. 🎟️🐶

Every kennel opened means another life saved. Every transport means another dog no longer sitting unwanted in an overcrowded shelter system.

While the posting may slow down sometimes, the work never does. The phone calls, the vetting, the cleaning, the paperwork, the loading, the driving, the coordinating with rescue partners… it never stops.

And honestly? That’s exactly how we want it. Because every quiet moment usually means we’re busy saving dogs.

We think our transport program is one of the most motivational and moving parts of what we do, because we are getting to save so many lives. Watching these dogs leave Texas and head toward love, safety, and forever homes will never stop being emotional for us. 🚐❤️🐾

📍Laguna Park Area / Clifton Address

This sweet girl has reportedly been spotted wandering the area for nearly 3 weeks now. We are trying to figure out if she belongs to someone or if she has been abandoned.

Does anyone recognize her or know who her owner may be? Please message our page with any information. Even small details could help us get her safe.

If she is your dog, or you know where she belongs, now is the time to speak up. No dog deserves to be out on her own this long. 💔

Please share so we can reach the right people in the Laguna Park community.
