🚨 FIVE DOLLAR FRIDAY FOR AVA 🚨
2,035 days.
Read that again.
Two thousand and thirty-five days in a shelter kennel.
That’s over FIVE YEARS of concrete floors, barking dogs, metal gates, and waiting… always waiting.
Ava came to Bosque Animal Rescue Kennels from the Waco shelter. Her estimated birthday is 9/11/2017, which means more than HALF of her life has been spent inside a shelter system.
Half her life without a couch.
Without a yard of her own.
Without knowing what it feels like to truly belong to someone.
But today… there is finally hope. ❤️
One of our kennel workers fell completely in love with Ava and is ready to open her home and heart to her. After all these years, Ava finally has someone saying:
“You’re mine. You’re safe. You’re staying.”
The only problem?
Ava is a fence climber.
To safely give her the freedom she deserves during the day, we need to purchase a secure kennel with a covered top enclosure so she can decompress, play outside safely, and slowly learn what life outside the shelter feels like.
After 2,035 days… this dog deserves a real chance.
She deserves sunshine.
She deserves peace.
She deserves to finally exhale.
And honestly?
She deserves for this chapter of her life to be the LAST chapter she ever spends in a shelter kennel.
For this Five Dollar Friday, we are asking every single person reading this to donate just $5 toward Ava’s freedom setup. Every donation gets her one step closer to finally living like a dog instead of surviving like one.

If you can’t donate, please share Ava’s story.
Because no dog should spend over 2,000 days waiting to be loved. 💔
