Begun in 1999 with the incorporation of the "Tioga River Watershed Reclamation Projects Inc." by founder Victor Otruba. Through the years our 501 (c) (3) organization provided diverse environmental advocacy for the Susquehanna River watershed. We provided youth education and participation programs while sponsoring partnerships and programs with Pa Bureau of Forestry, Pa DEP, Sea Grant, Mansfield U
niversity, Scripps Research Institute, University of North Carolina, Hillside Rod and Gun Club, The Boy Scouts of America, Girl Scouts of America, Eastern Pennsylvania Coalition for Abandoned Mine Drainage and the Susquehanna River Basin Commission. Our focus was hands-on youth environmental involvement, education, and reclamation and treatment of Acid Mine Drainage. TRWRPI also acted as sponsor for the Upper Susquehanna Riverkeeper from 2003-2007. The Riverkeeper program engaged in 70 serious water contamination issues in the upper 20,000 square mile watershed of the Susquehanna River. In 2015 we re-incorporated TRWRPI as the "Environeers" as a 501 (c) (3) to merge TRWRPI restructured. We chose the neological name Environeers to describe our active members from 1999 and felt it to be a close fit for our new structure. We now focus on developing environmental remediation & developing solutions through research and hands-on action. Current research & projects & goals
