Join us for the next North End Neighborhood Watch Meeting on Wednesday, September 9th at 5 PM at GROW by NECIC, 486 Springmill Street.

Bring questions, concerns, ideas and solutions directly to the people working in our neighborhood.

Joining us will be:

Officer Dylan Stephenson & Sgt. Heath Underwood (Two officers assigned to our Neighborhoods)
And Jason Ramirez — City of Mansfield Codes, Permits & Zoning

Join us at Idea Works Kitchen, located at 144 W. 3rd St., Mansfield, OH 44902, for the North End Business Alliance meeting! This event serves as a central hub for local business owners and entrepreneurs. Fresh hot coffee and donuts will be provided.

We had delicious drinks from The Sipping Sisters , a cooking demo from OhioHealth and tons of amazing vendors.

Our mural at the NECIC Urban Farm is FLOURISHING! 🌿🫜🍅

We're almost done covering all of the surface areas in color, and some parts of the mural already have their second coats of paint and details! Want a sneak peak? You can see these beautiful colors from the road entrance to our farm.

Our artist and designer, Megan Williams, will continue to work on the project and adding more details. We're so happy to see this project come to life before our eyes! This mural is inspired by the endless natural beauty found at our farm, and our community "roots."

Our produce flash sale is from 2:00 - 4:00PM today at our Grow location at 486 Springmill st.

Our selection is a little smaller this week, but it includes:

Big changes are happening at 486 Springmill Street!

Our new home is looking more and more like NECIC every day and this week brought some exciting updates!

First, you’ll have no trouble finding us now thanks to our new sign out front! A huge thank you to Tridico Sign Company for creating the new sign and continuing a relationship that goes back to signage they made for NECIC years ago!

Inside, we’ve also brought a little piece of NECIC history with us. Thank you to Brian and Eva Wehry for helping hang the murals that once lived on the side of our 199 N. Main Street building. If you’ve been around NECIC for a while, you’ll probably recognize them! We love that a piece of our past was saved, restored and now hangs in our offices.

And if you take a walk around back, you’ll notice another BIG transformation, the former bank drive thru is now completely enclosed with beautiful new windows! Thank you to J&B Acoustics for the installation. This space will eventually become a comfortable gathering place and hub for community programs.

North End, this space is YOURS!

What programs, activities, classes, clubs, or events would you like to see here? Our goal is to create a true “living room of the North End” a place to gather, connect, learn, eat, shop, and spend time together.

GROW by NECIC on Springmill St. will also be home to a new The 101 Tea Company location, a farm stop market featuring fresh produce and other local goods, prepared foods, community programming, and much more.

We can’t wait to open the doors and welcome you in later this year.

GET EXCITED for this week's North End Farmers Market! 🌿🥕🧅 Stop by our farmers market Thursday from 4:00 - 7:00 pm at 486 Springmill St. Parking is available across the street or street parking.

Come thirsty, because we'll have The Sipping Sisters at our farmers market with delicious lemonades and energetic refreshers! 🍓🍋🍊

Come to the North End Farmers Market to enjoy farm-fresh vegetables, fruit, meat, baked goods, and other amazing locally made items! Shout out to Park National Bank, Mansfield Ohio for generously sending some amazing volunteers to help us with our market last week!

Last Thursday evening, we had the pleasure of hosting a Social Connection Adventures steak dinner for our elders! We welcomed elders from several local groups, including the Golden Girls, Oasis iConnect, BLYMER Independent Living, UMADAOP, and the Bingo Crew.

This steak dinner took place at our Grow Market location, right next to our NECIC farmers market. The delicious dinner included:

🥩Steak Bites with farm fresh Herb Compound butter
🥗Caprese Salad with tomatoes and basil from the NECIC farm
🫛 Lemon Parmesan Asparagus
🍋 Homemade Lemonade
🍞Bread with Farm Compound Butter

These events are grant funded by Ohio District 5 Area Agency on Aging, Inc. Area Agency on Aging, Inc. , and support several of our local elders.

Shout out to Ms. Angie, Emily, Lucas, and all the other NECIC team members that helped to make this event happen! 🥩🍽️
