Whether you are spending the last days of summer exploring new places, hanging out locally, or finding shade under a Young Life umbrella, we hope it is everything you want it to be. We're cheering you on as you squeeze the absolute most out of these final summer break days! 🗽🌂

Announcing Leadership Weekend 2026! ➡️ Swipe to register!

Whether you are a current leader or curious about what it means to lead with Syracuse East Young Life this year, you are invited to join us for an incredible weekend away!

🍂What to Expect
Get ready to unplug, recharge, and connect. Our time together will feature:
- Awesome meals and community building
- Inspiring speakers and worship
- Equipping seminars for the year ahead
- Plenty of free time and fun at camp!

🗓️The Details
When: Friday, September 25 – Sunday, September 27, 2026.
Where: Saranac Village (4101 State Route 30, Saranac Lake, NY 12983).
Travel: Plan to arrive at Saranac around 9:00 PM on Friday. We will help coordinate carpools from Syracuse based on when people can leave! We’ll depart camp around 11:00 AM on Sunday, putting us back in Syracuse around 3:00 PM.
Cost: $100 total (Only a $50 deposit is needed to sign up!). As always with Young Life, DO NOT let cost be the reason you don't come! We always figure it out—just let us know if you need financial assistance.

📝 How to Register & Safety Requirements
Sign Up: Complete the registration page and pay your deposit.
Health & Consent Form: Keep an eye out for a separate email containing this required Young Life form after you register. Please fill it out with your health and dietary information.
No Lifeguard Waiver: This required form must be completed before arriving at Saranac Village - you'll find the link on the registration page.

We’re already gearing up for another incredible journey to Visit Bajo Lempa (VBL), and our application is LIVE! If you're interested in joining us, here is everything you need to get started:

🗓️ Interest Meeting: Coming up on September 24th at 7:00 P.M. in the gymnasium at DeWitt Community Church. Join us for information and to ask questions about the trip. Spread the word and invite a friend!

It's time for our annual mum sale with Abdo's Garden Market!

Each Mum sold helps provide a Syracuse East kid with the experience of attending Fall Weekend at Saranac Village, a Young Life Camp!

This year's mums are red, orange, yellow, and purple, and they're $15 each. For every Mum sold, $8 will go towards our campership fund.

At checkout, you can designate which student or club you would like the money to go toward. This is a great way to help raise money for our two exciting fall weekend trips to Saranac Village - Young Life (9th-12th grade) and WyldLife (6th-8th grade)!

"You were made for this". It's more than just a phrase; it's a truth we live out every day. We were all created for meaningful relationships, for a life filled with purpose, and for the kind of joy that comes from "experiencing life as God designed it to be lived."

Volunteer leaders not only build relationships with adolescents and help them grow in their faith but also know that they were created for connection and community. That's what "You were made for this" is all about.
