City Commission Meeting Tuesday, September 16, 6 pm.
Commissioners will be deciding whether to ignore the land use plan, upzone lots east of City Park in favor of developers, despite the wishes of neighbors, or to support the integrity of Manhattan's established traditional neighborhoods.

This page is intended share information about the ongoing threats to the older Manhattan neighborhoods.

The most immediate threat is the neighborhood east of City Park. Developers are seeking to demolish 300 N 11th and 1020 Leavenworth in order to construct two overscale triplex units at the estimated "affordable workforce price of $350,000" per unit.

This threatens the overall historic fabric and stability of the East Park Neighborhood.
