Trauma can change the course of a life. But what follows does not have to be defined only by loss.
Post-Traumatic Growth describes the positive psychological changes that can sometimes emerge through the struggle with deeply challenging experiences — a greater appreciation for life, stronger relationships, a recognition of personal strength, new possibilities, and changes in how we understand ourselves and the world around us.
At Raven Drum Foundation, we create space for that process through connection, education, rhythm, music, and shared experience.
Healing isn’t about pretending the difficult experience never happened. Sometimes, it is about recognizing what can begin to grow alongside it.
“Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms — to choose one’s attitude in any circumstances, to choose one’s own way.”
— Viktor Frankl

Yesterday we brought our Raven Drum Mind-Body-Drum experience to Rancho Cielo, where participants explored tools for resilience, self-awareness, stress reduction, and connection through rhythm, breathwork, mindfulness, and community.
These experiences remind us that healing doesn’t always begin with words. Sometimes it begins with listening. Sometimes it begins with a breath. And sometimes it begins with a drumbeat shared in a circle.
We are grateful to Rancho Cielo for welcoming us and for its commitment to strengthening individuals, families, and communities.
Together, we’re creating spaces where people can reconnect with themselves, support one another, and discover new pathways to well-being.
Thank you to everyone who participated!
