Camp Bearable For over 20 years, Camp Bearable has been offering a FUN and FREE weekend overnight camp for children ages 7-12 at Fontainebleau State Park in Mandeville, LA.

This remarkable camp is facilitated by the caring staff and volunteers of the Hospice House.

We just received this message from the family of one of our Camp Bearable 2026 campers!! 🧸💚💙🧸

Thank you to Hospice House and everyone who makes Camp Bearable possible!! Since we picked him up on Sunday, he hasn’t stopped talking about camp (especially the nice counselors and food). He had so much fun but more importantly came home with tools to help deal with all the emotions associated with his grief.

He’s had to grow up too fast, but for one weekend, you gave him the chance to just be a kid and lifted a weight off his shoulders.
