Tomorrow, June 1st, marks a monumental step forward in how our state supports grieving families. We are incredibly honored to join Governor Jeff Landry for the ceremonial signing of SB 32, which will officially become Act 346: Angel’s Law.
Angel’s Law, authored by Senator Patrick McMath and supported by 118 bipartisan co-authors, establishes the Perinatal Bereavement Care Initiative within the Louisiana Department of Health. This legislation ensures that hospitals have the resources, training, and critical equipment, like perinatal cooling devices, to provide families with the gift of time, dignity, and specialized care during their darkest hours.
