It's Fall Bulb Sale Time! Get your priority orders in by September 11th. We take orders after that date until all bulbs are gone. Check out our offerings at https://merrimackccd.org/fundraising-and-sales/

This year, the Merrimack County Conservation District is offering 26 different varieties of fall-planted bulbs — from daffodils to snowdrops, muscari, garlic, and more. We are also offering great planting guides from The Wild Seed Project and bird & bat houses. Order today and support MCCD conservation efforts!

Bulb pick-ups are at the MCCD office at 10 Ferry Street in Concord from 4-6PM on October 2nd and Contoocook Farmers Market on October 3rd from 9-noon.

Proceeds from the fundraiser go to our local foods programming, including the Veteran Market Dollar program at most Merrimack County farmers’ markets, educational programming, the gleaning program, conservation plantings, and our Grimes Conservation Scholarship. Great tradition!

The plans to create a new GFWC quilt to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary are coming together. The new quilt will be revealed at this year’s GFWC Holiday Open House in Dec. Our GFWC -NH quilt square was made by our own incredibly talented Anne Engelhardt. Designed with a traditional 16 patch 4x4 background of birch fabric, Anne highlighted our state map surrounded by official NH state symbols like the lilac, our state flower and the ladybug, our state insect. Do you know the others? When all the blocks are assembled each state name will be embroidered below the patch. Today GFWC State Presidents began turning in their unique state quilt blocks!! Here’s just a few to see to give you an idea of how incredible this quilt will look hanging at GFWC Headquarters in Washington, DC. Thank you Anne and WOW! (PS - our old GFWC quilt which now hangs at headquarters will be taken down and given a desperately need rest)
