This week, we presented 20 American flag display cases to the New Hampshire Veterans Home in memory of Machinist Mate Third Class Joseph L. Tryon, U.S. Navy (1912-1956). MM3 Tryon was posthumously awarded the Purple Heart this past Marchโ€”82 years after being wounded during the D-Day invasion on June 6, 1944. His courage and sacrifice serve as a lasting reminder of the extraordinary service of the Greatest Generation.

Each display case included a photo and brief biography of MM3 Tryon on the back, ensuring that his story will continue to be shared and remembered..

His daughter, MaryAnn Christie, and granddaughter, Kristin Boyson, both members of the Pinardville Lions Club, were guests of honor at the Hanscom Air Force Base medal ceremony.

We salute MM3 Joseph Tryon and all Veterans for their service to our country.

Tonight, we had the privilege of celebrating some outstanding graduating seniors from Goffstown High School and investing in their bright futures.

Congratulations to EMILY WYMAN, BRADY GODETTE, IAN CAMPBELL, and NATHAN VERMETTE, recipients of the 7th annual Healey Trust Engineering Scholarship, awarded in memory of Pinardville resident Jeffrey Healey and in honor of his sister, Jill Healey, a dedicated member of our Lions family.

We also proudly presented the 11th annual Ralph J. Lavallee Memorial Award to EMALINE LOMBO, a Bartlett Elementary School alumna whose exceptional commitment to community service embodies the spirit of Lionism. This award honors the memory of Ralph J. Lavallee, the first president of the Pinardville Lions Club in 1953.

A total of $10,000 in awards were shared among these five recipients. We congratulate them on their achievements and wish them success as they begin a new journey.

Supporting education, recognizing service, and investing in the leaders of tomorrow.

Our May member meeting was awesome!

One of the evening's highlights was hearing from coach Daniel Hughes and 9-year-old team captain Logan Prendergast of the 603X Vex-Rays robotics team. Fresh off their experience at the VEX IQ Robotics World Championship in St. Louis, they shared their journey of teamwork, perseverance, self-discipline, and learning from setbacks.

Logan impressed everyone with a demonstration of two robot prototypes currently being developed for next year's competition, while Dan provided insight into the team's hard work, accomplishments and future goals.

The 603X Vex-Rays are a talented group of 3rdโ€“5th grade students from across southern New Hampshire who share a passion for robotics and STEM learning. We were honored to support this outstanding program with a $500 donation to help fund materials and future competition expenses.

Thank you, Dan and Logan, for an inspiring presentation and for showing us what dedication, innovation, and teamwork can achieve!

May is Blind Awareness Month - highlighting all that a blind/visually impaired person is capable of accomplishing. Camp Exsighting Adventures is all about giving vision impaired youth the opportunity to enjoy a week-long (or day) camping experience - and we're proud to sponsor one NH adventurer!

$1,000 reasons to smile today! ๐ŸŽ‰ A huge THANK YOU to the Pinardville Lions Club for their generous $1,000 donation to Camp EXSIGHTING Adventures! Because of community partners like you, more blind and visually impaired youth will have the opportunity to experience friendship, independence, confidence, and the kind of summer memories that stick with you long after camp ends. Your support helps turn โ€œIโ€™m nervousโ€ into โ€œI can do this,โ€ and that kind of impact means everything. Thank you for helping our campers shine brighter, laugh louder, and dream bigger. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ•๏ธ

On this National Nurses Day, we celebrate and thank ALL nurses - especially our two member nurses, MaryAnn (50+ years) and Lauren (7 weeks). And in appreciation for their compassion and care, we delivered 75 coffee shop gift cards to Director of Nursing Tonya Dubois, to share with the dedicated nursing team at Hillsborough County Nursing Home. Let's hear it for the special nurses in our lives!
