* A WINTRY MESS EARLY NEXT WEEK *
Possible accumulating snow to parts of the Northeast.
Starting off with snow then sleet and freezing rain and then maybe rain for Tuesday.
Our global models are continuing to pick up on a potential winter storm for early next week, and it's worth keeping tabs on it.

Here's what's setting up: A strong upper-level trough is expected to dig into the central and eastern U.S., phasing with energy dropping out of the northern stream. When these two pieces of atmospheric energy come together, they can produce a potent surface low that rapidly strengthens, a process known as bombogenesis or "bombing out."

The ECMWF and GFS are in general agreement that a notable low pressure system will develop, though they differ on the exact track and timing, which is completely normal at this range. The storm track is everything here. A slight shift north or south determines who sees heavy snow, who gets a messy mix, and who ends up on the warm side with rain.

It's still too early to pin down exact snowfall amounts or a precise impact zone, but the signal is strong enough that you should be paying attention, especially across the Ohio Valley and into the Northeast. We'll refine the details as we get closer.

Little bit more SNOW ❄️. Wednesday Morning. Mainly Poconos and Northwest New Jersey, but a coating possible PA Turnpike & I-195 points North.

SAY IT AIN'T SNOW!
Relax...NOT a repeat of what we just had...but yeah, a little snow / mix possible overnight into tomorrow morning as a clipper comes down from the northwest. Coating to an inch at best...most of it will be to the NORTH. Temps will hover around 32 overnight.

Most of NJ is now under a Blizzard Warning. Eastern PA will see near blizzard conditions on Sunday night. Power outages are very likely.
Sunday night in particular, while you're sound asleep, snow will be piling up for hours at between 1-3" each hour
