Come visit us THIS WEEKEND at South Jersey’s biggest Festival 🐶

☔️ Heavy rains moved our training indoors, but that didn’t stop our team from sharpening our skills. We were at Absolute Control Dog Training (ACDT) in Medford with expert instructor Perry Parks

We started with an informative class on crime scene preservation. There are numerous core steps in securing, protecting and documenting valuable evidence 🔍

🐕 Next we brought in our K9s for training with K9s Ellie, Luka and Nova for human remains detection (HRD). We put their noses to work using Getxent HRD scent tubes. Through patterning and cognitive behavioral exercises, our K9s continued developing their ability to recognize and locate target odors efficiently

🐶 Adding to K9 training was agility and basic obedience for all the K9s including Azula, Rex and Bear. You can see the excitement with the dogs as they mastered various obstacles, building confidence and focus along the way

🏥 Another important instruction was how to conduct CPR on dogs. Thank you to Meredith with her expertise on general practice veterinary medicine. She also went over supplies in our K9 Medkit Working Dog packs from DogWorx. We are always prepared with these amazing medical kits for our four legged partners when we are out in the field or mission. It is the ultimate first aid kit filled with 100 essential items in a compact lightweight pack, a must have for any dog owner!

Burlington County K9 Search and Rescue is saddened to hear about the shooting of officers in Philadelphia.

Making the ultimate sacrifice for strangers is something every first responder knows may happen, but prays the day will never come.

May he rest in peace in the comfort of God's arms. Your work here is done sir, now rest.

🍂🚒 Another visit with Fire Prevention Month! 🚒🍂

Our final Fire Prevention Night at Vincent Fire Company Station 171 in Southampton was perfect! The beautiful fall weather brought out tons of families eager to learn about fire safety and meet their local firefighters. ❤️

🚒 Families toured multiple firetrucks and enjoyed a variety of fire safety demonstrations, making it a fun and educational night for all ages!

🐾🌟 Stealing the spotlight were our specialized Human Remains Detection (HRD) K9s, Sadie and Ellie! These four-legged celebrities loved meeting so many wonderful people, young and old, and helping showcase the important work our search and rescue K9s do.

A huge thank-you to Vincent Fire Company for hosting such a wonderful community event and helping spread the message of fire safety!
