Beach Days for All Beach Days for All is a nonprofit organization that helps towns create better beach access for people with disabilities, elderly and any other mobility issues.

The "Beach Days for All" mission is to fully integrate beaches at the Jersey Shore so that our families with special needs children, people using a wheelchair and our disabled veterans have the ability to enjoy the touch, feel, and smell of the ocean and enjoy this the way we all have at some point in our lives. The "Beach Days for All" purpose is to raise & distribute funds to procure & install panels for access closer to the water. Unfortunately, we will not be able to give full access to the Atlantic Ocean. It would not be safe with the constant changes tides and the forever changing landscapes of our local beaches. As of 2022 our goal is to change the idea of what a handicap accessible beach should look like. CURRENT BEACHES with Matrax Panels

Days like this remind me of the difference between visiting the beach and calling it home.

When a nor’easter is coming, we’re watching the forecast, getting our homes ready and wondering what the water might do to our streets and property. We keep checking on our boats.

People who visit can head home and wait for the storm to pass. Those of us who live here stay, prepare and hope our homes and beaches come through it okay.

That’s the part of living at the beach people don’t always see. Thinking of everyone along our coast as this storm approaches.

I wouldn’t trade it for the world.

Why don’t our panels go all the way to the Atlantic Ocean?

The beach changes every day. Waves move sand little by little, and a nor’easter can move a lot of it in just one storm. The tide also moves the water’s edge in and out, so there’s no fixed spot for the panels to reach.

We know that last stretch of sand still matters. That’s why we keep working to make beach access better as the shoreline changes. 💙
