Malta FCCLA is home from an incredible week at the FCCLA National Leadership Conference in Washington, D.C.!
Twelve students represented our chapter at the national conference. Throughout the week, Averee served as Montana’s State Officer, representing our state during conference activities and leadership events.
🏅 Competitive Events
• Layla earned a Gold Medal in Career Investigation.
• Rhiaunna earned a Gold Medal in Interior Design and was named a Top 10 National Finalist.
• Jace and Titus earned Silver in Sports Nutrition.
• Sadie and Kendle earned Silver in Chapter Service Project.
• Renzey and Danny earned Silver in Focus on Children.
• Savannah earned Silver in Early Childhood Education.
• Ali earned Silver in Entrepreneurship.
• Kade competed in the Interviewing Skills Skill Demonstration Event, and we are eagerly awaiting those results.
In addition to competing, students attended leadership workshops, breakout sessions, and general sessions with FCCLA members from across the country, building leadership skills, learning from others, and bringing home new ideas for our chapter.
Outside of the conference, we explored our nation’s capital with visits to the U.S. Capitol, Library of Congress, National Archives, the Holocaust Memorial Museum, several Smithsonian museums, the monuments at night, and a Washington Nationals baseball game.
A huge thank you to Mr. Bleth for serving as our tour guide and to Jolynn for chaperoning our group. We are also incredibly grateful to everyone who supported our chapter through fundraisers this year. Your generosity made this experience possible, and we appreciate every person who helped our students attend.
It was a week full of learning, leadership, competition, and unforgettable memories. Thank you, Malta, for supporting FCCLA!
