Here is the thing about honesty: it is easy when the truth is convenient. The real test is when it's not. Admitting you didn't study. Telling a friend something they don't want to hear. Saying I got that wrong.

A four year old who has never held a book is already behind on day one of kindergarten. Not because of anything they did. Because of what was available.

Heartland is working on preschool availability and affordability in Orrville, so more of our kids start school ready instead of catching up. Ask any kindergarten teacher what a prepared student looks like and you'll understand.

Integrity is being the same person everywhere. In the classroom and in the hallway. At work and at home. When it is easy and when it's not.

Our kids are watching how the adults in this town handle integrity, and trust us, they notice when it's missing.

That was Hearts for Heartland 2026. A night of good food, great company, and a community proving, again, that it takes care of its own.

But the best part happens after the party ends. It's the mentor who meets a student every week. The kid who finds their spark in a STEAM project. The teenager who walks into a job interview ready. That's what your support builds, all year long.
