It's a beautiful (albeit a little brisk) day for a spring spruce-up in our little village.

We'll be cleaning windows of storefronts on Main and Water Streets, picking up litter in the same area, and if we have enough volunteers, we'll send a crew down to Millard Park (on Spring Street) to pick up litter along the nature trails.

If you can join us, we're meeting in front of Chrissy's Beauty Salon at 10am to divvy up tasks and work sites. 🫡

What to bring:
- Squeegee if you have one
- Other window cleaning supplies (we'll have some shammies, buckets, the cleaning solution, and a ladder)
- Work gloves
- Grabber (if you have one and want to avoid bending over)
- Water

It’s no secret that our little town has felt a few tough blows lately. The closing of our local pharmacy is just the most recent reminder of how much things can change, and how much we all rely on the small, everyday places that make Dundee feel like home.

We’ve also heard the conversations around parking changes and the bump-outs. Change can be frustrating, especially in a small town where convenience matters. But even here, there’s opportunity: those new spaces are becoming beautiful, welcoming parts of our downtown… and you can be part of that.

If there’s one thing that defines this community, it’s heart.

Dundee has never been a place that gives up. It’s a place where neighbors show up, where small businesses keep dreaming, and where new ideas continue to take root, even in challenging times.
We have good things ahead:

✨ A Community Clean-Up Day on April 25—because we take pride in where we live. Join us!
✨ New businesses on the horizon, bringing fresh energy and opportunity. Get excited for them!
✨ Local merchants who continue to show up for you, every single day. Support them!
✨️ Dundee Day and The Crazy Bed Races on Saturday, July 11. Gather your team, registration will be coming soon!
✨️ A $1 Million Grant to improve Millard Park thanks to Clerk Samatha Schenck.
✨️ An active and engaged Merchants Association. Want to join? Just message us!
✨️ A newly adopted Comprehensive Plan and Steering Committee dedicated to carrying that vision ahead.

Now more than ever, how we support one another matters. Shop local when you can. Share a kind word. Lend a hand. Show up.

The photos in the post are to remind you of what we have: EACH OTHER.

Because the story of Dundee isn’t about what we’ve lost—it’s about what we’re building together.

Let’s keep going. 💛

Last night, the Dundee Area Merchant’s Association kicked off our first quarterly meeting of 2026 in truly special fashion. Lilly and Greg DeForest Campbell graciously welcomed us into their stunning home, the 1897 Beekman House, where we enjoyed an incredible spread of homemade treats—pan au chocolat, chocolate chip cookies, hummus, pita, and deviled eggs.

Nathan Kendall of Hickory Hollow Wine Cellars / Nathan K. Wines shared his beautiful wines, while Steven Fulkerson of Fulkerson Winery brought along delicious grape juice. Everything was fresh, local, and a perfect reminder of the talent and abundance we have right here in our own community.

We were also joined by our guest speaker, Ryan Hallings of Lyons National Bank, who gave an engaging and informative overview of LNB and the many products and services available to help local businesses grow. He made it both educational and genuinely enjoyable.

The momentum building in Dundee is undeniable—and we’d love for you to be part of it. Stay tuned for details on our next meeting coming this spring!
