Mental illness is an invisible illness because its symptoms—such as overwhelming anxiety, crushing depression, or racing thoughts—manifest internally and aren’t visible to others. This invisibility can lead to misunderstanding, isolation, and doubt from others who can’t see the pain, making support harder to seek or receive. Please be kind to others.
