The Fayette Trails Coalition (FTC) is dedicated to developing, maintaining, and enhancing the Sheepskin Trail that will link communities, foster outdoor recreation, and promote sustainable growth.

We’re finally getting our outdoor Fayette Trails Coalition meeting in today on The Sheepskin Trail in South Union Township, and Mother Nature appears to be cooperating with us this time. 😄🌤️

🌧️ FTC Meeting Rescheduled

Due to thunderstorms expected throughout the day, tonight’s Fayette Trails Coalition meeting has been postponed.

📅 New Date: Monday, August 24
⏰ Time: 5:00 PM
📍 Location: Bike Art Park/picnic area near the dog park along the Sheepskin Trail in South Union Township

We’ll still plan to meet outside on the trail and hopefully have much better weather next week!

⛈️ FTC OUTDOOR MEETING RESCHEDULED

Due to the chance of severe thunderstorms today, we’re moving our outdoor Fayette Trails Coalition meeting to next week.

Trails are community infrastructure.

They create places to exercise, spend time outdoors, connect neighborhoods, support small businesses, and give people safer ways to get around. That is why the Fayette Trails Coalition is committed to supporting the Sheepskin Trail and building momentum for a broader connected network.

🗣️The survey results are in! We received more than 300 responses thanks to you all. Here's a little sneak peek at the results.

Would you like to see more coffee or ice cream along the corridor, too? ☕

Image description: The community survey infographic says there were 304 survey responses; 25 counties were represented across Pennsylvania and West Virginia, and 80% of respondents want more food and drink (namely coffee and ice cream) along the trails; 60% would like more bike and gear shops.

We had a blast at the Long Haul Ride! We even had an awesome tandem bike couple join us! Keep your eyes peeled for more social rides and glow rides coming soon! Huge shout out to JB’s Market for the morning caffeine, snacks, and hydration options, and to Twisted Spoke Cafe for an awesome lunch pit stop!

We’re looking for more people who care about trails, outdoor recreation, and stronger Fayette County communities.

The Fayette Trails Coalition has opportunities to get involved through cleanups, outreach, trail observations, events, and our growing Sheepskin Shepherds volunteer network.
