Huge thank you to Robert Hensley Nature Reconnect for organizing and leading this awesome clean-up effort along the Sheepskin Trail and Bailey Park!

We also want to thank every student, teacher, local volunteer, and community partner who showed up to help make a difference. The Uniontown Area High School Nature Club absolutely stepped it up and did an incredible job. Seeing students take pride in their community and trails is exactly what this movement is about.

Together, the group collected 5 large bags of trash and helped make this section of the Sheepskin Trail cleaner and more welcoming for everyone.

Special thanks to PennDOT Keep PA Beautiful for supplying bags and gloves, and to everyone who continues supporting outdoor stewardship and community pride in Fayette County.

This is what community collaboration looks like. 🌿🚲🧤

This Memorial Day, the Fayette Trails Coalition honors and remembers the brave individuals who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.

Today is about reflection, gratitude, and remembering those who never made it home.

As communities gather across Fayette County and beyond, we encourage everyone to enjoy the outdoors responsibly, support one another, and take time to recognize the meaning behind the holiday.

From all of us at the Fayette Trails Coalition, thank you to those who served and especially to those who gave everything.

Parents, before buying your child an eBike, it’s important to understand what you’re actually purchasing.

Not every “eBike” being sold online or on social media is legally considered an eBike. Many are classified as electric motorcycles or mopeds under Pennsylvania law due to their speed, wattage, or lack of functional pedals.

A few important things to know:
• Pennsylvania recognizes 3 legal eBike classes
• Anything over 750 watts may not qualify as an eBike
• Riders under 16 cannot legally operate Class 3 eBikes in PA
• If it doesn’t have functional pedals, it likely isn’t legally an eBike
• Illegal operation can create liability issues for parents and homeowners

We’re seeing more high-speed electric bikes and electric motos on local streets and trails. Education and responsible riding matter for the safety of riders, pedestrians, motorists, and the future of trail access.

Please take a few minutes to review the guide below before making a purchase.

Ride smart. Ride legal. Ride responsibly.
