Save the Date, Orange County! 🇺🇸🍦
Get ready for the kickoff to summer and a continued celebration of America 250—right here in the heart of our community.
Join us May 17th from 2:00–5:00 PM on the Orange County Courthouse Lawn for an afternoon filled with connection, celebration, and family fun.
This special event, inspired by Commissioner Richard Dixson and brought to life in partnership with Robert Henderson, alongside Commissioners Marshall Noble and Steve Hopper and County Council members Zach Brown and Catherine Henderson , is all about bringing our community together—just like it should be.
The artwork featured in this flyer draws inspiration from Anita Bradford, whose work beautifully captures the heart of Orange County—our people, our history, and the simple moments that bring us together. And that’s exactly what May 17th will be… a moment to celebrate who we are.
✨ What to expect:
* FREE ice cream for the first 250 attendees
* Live music by Lick Creek Band – bring your lawn chairs, settle in, and stay awhile as their music fills the air with harmony
* Community partners including Safe Haven, Team Peace, Lost River, Veterans 7, and many more
* 🍓 Fresh strawberries available for purchase from Lost River
🚲 Don’t miss the Bicycle Parade!
Hosted by Team Peace, families are invited to decorate their bikes in red, white, and blue. Meet at the courthouse at 1:00 PM, ride to the grade school and back, just in time to kick off the celebration at 2:00 PM.
We’ll gather together at 1pm with community leaders including Richard Dixson, Robert Henderson, Zac Brown, Marshall Noble, and Steve Hopper and Catherine Henderson to kick off the event celebrate the start of summer and the spirit of Orange County.
✨ And just a heads up… there are so many surprises we can’t even share yet—you’ll have to be there to experience them.
This is more than an event—it’s a reminder of what makes this place special.
Come out, bring your family, bring your chairs, and let’s fill the courthouse lawn with laughter, music, and community.
Because this is Our Community. ❤️
