The Diaper Dash 5k

Running a race on a cold January morning is no small thing. To keep the focus on fun, affordability, family-friendly racing, and the reason for the event, we don't use bibs or timing chips. The top three runners in each age group receive a medal (child, teen, adult). We are so proud of all our finishers. There were some FAST times yesterday and lots of smiles. It was a great way to kick off 2026! ( see photos for top finisher results)

The 3rd Annual Diaper Dash 5k was a huge success, despite chilly weather! We collected 5110 diapers from 100 runners and other donors, and a good time was had by all! Cash donations total to be given to 100Families TBD. ( If you still want to make a donation, see the QR code in the photos).

A few photos from our lovely race course today while marking mileage. Also, update to the forecast: Low 40s! Warmer, so Yay, but also as a runner, the hardest temperature to dress for. Am I right? Shout out to the support team who came with me today!

Two more sleeps! If you feel better knowing what to expect, here are the route directions. You can walk, run, or drive it ahead of time if you want to. There are minimal turns and hills, so it is a great route for a personal best! There will be volunteers at the turns and chalk on the ground to tell you where to go.

We’re so sad to make this post!

After keeping a close eye on the weather for this weekend, we have made the tough call to reschedule the Diaper Dash 5k to January 3rd, 2026. With all channels predicting cold and heavy rain tomorrow, we want to ensure that our race continues to be safe, accessible, and family-friendly.

Existing registrations will transfer to this new date and we will continue to work on the race in the meantime. We encourage you to support the local nonprofits you love over the holiday season and to join us in January to support 100 Families of White and Woodruff Counties.

We can't wait to see you on January 3rd, 2026 and Diaper Dash into the New Year with you!
